Remarks
The college is situated in very beautiful place and the weather encourage the students to live a healthy life. The quality of professors are really good. The Juniors and seniors are respectful to each other.
Course Curriculum Overview
The B. Tech is a 4 year or 8 semester course and in each semester there are 2 internals. Also we have to submit a hand written assignment for the exam. The final exam consist of 70 marks, 15 marks from avg of internals, 10 for assignment and 5 for attendance.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities for cse,it and ece branch students are very very high. For having a legacy of 58 years in has a good reputation in the industry and the chances of having good placement are increasing yearly. The placement of core students are not that high.
College Events
Teachers day, Vishakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja, Technical fest, Cultural fest, these are the main event of the college students apart from the mentioned functions the other programs are drama competition, dance and music fest. These all engage the students and make the bond stronger.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Total engineering fees in this college is equal to per semester fees in other colleges. For being a Government college the total fees are below 50000 Rs. Hostel fees are monthly 2000-2500 rs. The local transportation cost is also cheap.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is a Government autonomous college. So the fees structure is very low. The academic fees is less than 50000 for 8 semester. In this also there is availability of Tuition fee wave for selected candidates from economicaly backward family. Also another scholarship is provided to needy student from passout seniors.
Campus Life
There are 14 clubs music, dance, magic, sports, drama, photography, magazine, Centre For Innovation, trecking etc. All te clubs are active. So the students have ample opportunity to grow and continue their extracurricular with academics.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel quality is not good. I myself stayed there for 4 years but its not that good. There are total 5 hostels 4 for boys and 1 girls hostel. Hostel mess food is average and there is a question of hygiene in the toilets. There is no washing machine availability.
Alumni/Alumna
The connection are not that high but limited seniors always ready to help the Juniors. Senior students helped the Juniors not only in the college campus but outside the campus in all kind of necessity.
Admission
After getting a handsome rank in WBJEE in 2014 I got the college in counseling. This is an autonomous Govt college. It is one of the best engineering college in West Bengal. There are six branches in that college; i.e mechanical, electrical, civil, electronics, computer science and IT.
Faculty
The quality of the faculties are really great. They not only give you the bookish knowledge but also helps you to identify and solve the practical problems. Apart from academics they also ready to help you in solving other problems.
