CEM,KOLAGHAT COLLEGE REVIEW

If I say positive things then first thing is campus environment, lab conditions, faculties college infrastructure and all those things comes in my mind. If I say negative things then first thing is that it little bit expensive as college fee.

I am B.TECH mechanical Engineering department student and in whole 4th year course we have subjects like STRENGTH OF MATERIALS, IC ENGINE, POWER PLANT ENGINEERING, FLUID MECHANICS and many more all the subjects are very practical and interesting and also have practical lab also. We have 8 Sem in whole 4th year in every sem we have a theory and practical exam at the end of sem.

Basically the placement status for our department is not good. But in IT, CSE department almost all students gets job in various MNC. Only software companies come for placement no core companies comes for placement.

Various events organized by the students like SARASWATI PUJA, BISWAKARMA PUJA, FRESHERS WELCOME. But the special events is TECH FEST (RESONANCE) and CULTURAL FEST(SPANDAN) that two is the emotion of the college.

Now in this semester I paid rs 50,000 as college fee. And most it takes 3.5 to 4 lakh to complete this course. But our college have that facility if you score good in your WBJEE exam and if you are in PWD cota then college fee is 0. No extra money is needed in admission time.

Normally now a days only one scholarship are available that are the PWD cota zero college fee. No other scholarship is available but college helps us a lot to get other government scholarships. If you study by taking loans then college give you chance to give the fee later also that's it.

The labs condition in our department is very good and almost we have 14 to 16 lab. Here all kind of sports organized like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and also indoor games also. Some NCC programs also organized in semester vacation.

Yes I am hostetler. And here we have 7 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. Fir every year separate hostel is there and for 4th year 4 hostel are there as there is single room. And infrastructure is quite good all type accommodation facilities are available.

As a fourth year student we dont have any senior but we guide our junior students what to do what not and ragging is almost zero in our college because there is some laws in our college. And our pass out seniors also try so that we can get job where currently they are. And also they are very helpful they also guide us.

First of all I appear for WBJEE exam and on basis of WBJEE rank I selet some college in my selection list and then I called for selection process and there I choose this college and then I was selected for this college.

I can't comment about other department teachers but in our department all the respective teachers are knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. If we can't understand anything in class after class they also available. Also our lab assistants very much helpful.
