Remarks
I think I have listed almost everything in the above lines. Academically really great. However, the job opportunities can be improvised. The college should build up good relationships with companies and alumni. The hostel infra should be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
While our batch was in, the course was a little extravagant and tried to comprise all courses from related branches while the following batches had a precise course of study. Also, the exam structure had 8 semesters for 4 years and also two internal exams per semester.
Placement Experience
Internships are a thing now but weren't when I was in. The job opportunities are good. Mostly mass recruiters give the best opportunities. Also, the college participates in various off campus recruitment. Along with that, it holds job mela for students.
College Events
All national events are observed. While being specific, the college's tech fest Horizon brings a lot of fame and is celebrated with a lot of pomp and show each year in the winters. Also, each branch celebrate their own events separately. There's also a grand Sports event where they invite players from other colleges to participate. The activities are always on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible enough. It's a government college. Except for the CSE/ETC branches which are self sustained every other branch is funded by the government. Parents don't have to pay an extravagant amount for the grads.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per my knowledge, there isn't any. However, awards are given for toppers. There is some kind of recognition. Some government scholarships are there for lower annual income, also for reserved classes.
Campus Life
Labs are fully equipped for Chem, Physics, Electrical, Electronics, Computers, Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical. Everything is well managed by lab assistants. There are facilities for basketball, badminton, cricket, football, volley, etc. There is also scope for dance, poetry, and other arts.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is free, however, the food/electricity we had to pay for. Facilities - 3/5. Could have been improvised in terms of cleanliness, security, and facilities for sports and gym. The common room also isn't well maintained.
Alumni/Alumna
It is great. Alumni help to bring job opportunities. Also, help fund the events and regularly visit. The interaction is great. There is a proper team for the alumni and student relationship. There are regular activities and are really helpful.
Admission
The score from the JEE mains was considered along with the 12th board marks. Following that, we had to apply to different colleges and then the shortlisting from the college. Had to take admission as per the shortlist.
Faculty
The faculty in our college were good enough to upskill us. It was great learning from them for four years. It has been helping yet. Every department had the best faculty in the required genre. The HODs were great and had assigned the subjects to the best faculty.
