Good College

I opted for BTech Electronics And Communication Department in 2015. Its a 4 year course with 8 semester. Each semester having approx 5-6 subjects most of them were electronics subject with 1 subject from CSE every semester. For semester exam you have to pay 720 rupees for all subjects every semester.

Yes Our college has nice placement record. Every year 80% students gets placed with an average package of 4.5LPA. Our college is visited by huge companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Samsung etc. Since I belonged to ECE department so to be honest the scope of getting placement was less as Our college is visited by IT companies and less Electronics Companies. Since I was prepared for coding and algorithm so I got placed in 4th year of Engineering. Yes Our college has internships in 3rd year. Few companies visit to give internship offer like DELL with offered 20k per month in the year 2018.

Our college celebrates events like Fresher Party, Placement fuctions, Every year there is an event called PARIVARTAN which is the biggest event of them all, where big celebrities come to the event to celebrate the event. And most of the events are joyful. There is no compromise in the events or celebrating any good cause.

Fee structure for BTech (all branches) was 2015-2019 Semester 1: ?47,000 Semester 2 to Semester 8: ?43,000 Overall it was a affordable fees for a middle class family. If you are a punjab resident then you can opt for some schemes from punjab govt where you get a fee waiver of 90%. the student needs to pay only 10% of the semester fees.

I'm not aware of any loan facility provided from my college. But As I said If you are a punjab resident then you can avail the scholarship offer from punjab government and There are some education loan options but not sure from which banks the college are tied up with.

Labs are good, you will get all the facilities required and all the equipements are present in the labs. Sports events are organised and sports equipements are also provided in the college premises. Extra curricular activities include like stalls exibitions and coding competitions etc.

Hostel were quite nice they had 4 boys hostels. 1 was 2 seater hostel and rest 3 were 4 and 3 seater hostel. Hostel cleanliness was nice food was average on all hostels. 24x7 water and electricity. No power cut problem inside campus. Hostel fees was 2 seater : 90k per bed 4 seater : 70k per bed

Yes i have got lot of help from the seniors of my college. they helped in guiding me through the placement process and all. Seniors are doing jobs in MNC companies so they helped us in giving us exposure about the corporate world.

I have scored 103 marks in JEE MAINS 2015. And Based on that marks I got into the merit list of Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC) Electronics Department. If your 12th has 80+ marks percent then you can opt for CSE and Other branches. But If marks is less than 80 then you cannot opt for CSE. College doesn't require high marks in competitive exams. There is a management quota in our college so if anyone does'nt even have JEE MAINS exam results then they can go for the management quota.

Faculty of our college are good sometimes they will teach you good but most of the times the faculty won't be able to explain you all the concepts clearly. So self study is most important in our college. Faculty will help you with your doubt. But Faculty more focuses on bookish knowledge rather than practical. So that lacks a little bit But other things are quite good.
