My Nit, MNIT

The infrastructure of our college is way better than most of the well established nits. We have the asia's larget lecture theater called Vivekananda lecture theater complex which can accommodate large number of students at a time. The college faculties need a little improvement. In some branches there is deficiency of faculties which needs to be looked upon.

The course curriculum is as usual same. You have total of 4 years of btech and each year comprises of 2 semester. Each semester you get to study 5-6 courses. There are two exams mainly in one semester. There are also practical exams and lab before the theory exams.

There are good placement opportunities for every branches. Mostly everyone gets a placement offer leaving the ones who want to do higher studies. The same is true for internships. Companies come for giving internship opportunities but mainly in computer science branch. I was not able to get internship through my college but about 40% people in computer science got internships through my college.

So all the Indian main events are celebrated in our college like Holi ,Diwali, indepence day etc and also we have our annual tech and cultural fest celebrated. We also host inter nit athletic competition in which different but student participate.

The fee structure is feasible as it is different for people with different income slabs. There are also many scholarship programs to avail for very poor students who can't avail tution fees. More than 60% of their fees is waved off.

There are a bunch of scholarships to avail from. There are scholarships for bpl students and minorities whose more than 60% fees is waived off. There are also some scholarships which pay you enough so that you get your pocket money from that.

There are a lot of extracurricular activities that goes around. Every month more than one extracurricular activity can be seen being conducted in the college. Like badminton, tennis, volleyball, football, gym, etc.

Our alumni network is very strong. Every year two to three events are celebrated where alumni are called to meet up. Some of the festival that the students organise and celebrate are majorly funded by the alumni.

Fir of all we have to register for Jee mains and get good score in it. Admissions in nits is through Jee mains exam. Usually a rank within 50k can get you within MNIT. Once you get the rank needed you need to carry on the counselling process which is conducted by JOSAA or CSAB. After you are allocated a seat then you need to get to the college on the given day and complete the full registration by submitting the documents needed and the fees for the first semester.

The faculty is good but there are some deficiency of faculties in some branches like computer science. The faculty have there cabin in there respective department so if you have any doubts in there lecture you can easily go to their cabin and get your doubts clarified.
