IISER MOHALI

IISER's do not receive much funds as engineering colleges in our nation do. There is also instances of corruption in our institute, but as a result the officials responsible were dismissed. We still do lack funding , due to which many of the buildings that were part of the original plan was not built

IISER's teach basic science but with more exposure to research. IISER Mohali provides degrees in physics mathematics chemistry and in Humanities and social science. First year students and second year students have to to learn all all 5 subjects. Third year you have to you choose a major subject. 5th year is mainly research

Even though IISER's provide world class education they do not provide much placement but your chances of getting PHD programmes in in foreign Nations will be e very high. IISER's primarly focus on education and research

There are meaning events organised at IISER Mohali .Tthe main one is annual cultural fest called INSOMNIA,other than that we also celebrate Onam diawali and another festivals. Our college also organisers many cultural activities and games. college sports fest is known as IISM(INTER IISER SPORTS MEET) and it's cultural fest is known as IICM(INTER IISER CULTURAL MEET) where students from all IISER participate.we also organise tons of seminars and game night's.camp fire's and tons of DJ parties in all occasions

The fee is moderately high for poor families,but it is comparable with the fees of IIT's about 75000 per year in our campus plus hostel and mess.There are a total of ten semester .Each year has two semesters of 4months each .there is also a summer internship program where students of IISER can work in labs under professors

There is two national scholarship known as INSPIRE scholarship and the KVPY.both are national scholarships and can be availed .INSPIRE scholars need to be in the top 1 percentile of their particular boards,and for the KVPY scholarship you need to pass the KVPY examination and clear the interview

We have tons of extracurricular activities, IISER Mohali is the football champions of the IISM 2019. also there are many other sports including badminton,kho kho, cricket,tennis, volleyball, squash, basketball, and athletics. the institute also provides necessary courts and grounds for playing them.indoor sports like chess, caroms and other games are also played.our labs are world-class. there are many labs in our academic block,where active research takes place.cultural activities are also promoted here

Most students go to foreign institutes mainly in Germany and the US for getting their PhD and postdoctoral.Some IISER students are also selected into companies as part of their R&D wing. Some students crack UPSE exam and go into civil service. Some students become college professors and teachers

I got admission into IISER Mohali by the SCB stream.you need to be the top 10 percentile of your state board to write this examination.every year IISER conducts an aptitude test known as the IISER aptitude test. after writing the exam you wait for about 6 weeks or so to hear an official confirmation on whether you get selected or not .IISER's don't release ranks and tells only wheather you are selected or not

IISER Mohali is very well known for its biology faculty but other faculties are also very nice physics faculty and chemistry faculty is also up to par. The lab faculty is also very good. Most faculties are active scientists and therefore are awesome teachers
