Remarks

I think that overall my college is one of the best in India in terms of placements and internships. The only thing that I want is to include more research opportunities. Maybe improve the infrastructure of hostels and mess food of course. Also maybe they should reduce the 75% attendance criterion to 50%.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

According to ECE, it is very well made. But they need to add a few new emerging tech things like ML and AI. Exams happen twice every semester, mid-sem and end-sem. Also there are internals and practicals too.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are 100%. More than 100 companies come every year including big tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Google. Internships are also very good (as I have heard from the seniors). I am currently in 2nd year so probably can't tell much about it yet.

College Events

3

There happens a tech fest namely INNOVISION during the month of October and another cultural fest named MOKSHA in the month of February. Other than that Independence day is celebrated too. Sometimes we get special dinner in hostel too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I think that fees is feasible. 1.5-2.0 lakhs per year for college. Then 21k for hostel and 17k for mess per semester. Also there is 11k per subject if you get back or fail in it. It might be too much for some students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college offers a 100% fees refund to the top 5% students of the college. I haven't received my share yet. The college doesn't offer any loan facilities. You have to manage that on your own. Also there is a 6 month book issue from the book bank for SC and ST categories.

Campus Life

4

The labs are not so good considering the equipments. There are 2 basketball courts, 2 volleyball courts, a football ground, cricket ground. And also place for indoor sports like Carrom, chess and Table tennis.

Hostel Facilities

3

7/10. Hostel is not too good. The rooms are not clean at all. Not whitewashed or painted since a long time. Furniture is okayish. Also the bathrooms are not decent. There are 2 badminton courts and place to play TT or carrom. Now, about the mess, it is edible but not up to the mark. Most of the time we have to order food or eat outside.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumini network is good. I know 1 person named Aman Dhattarwal who is a famous youtuber. Also seniors come to our rescue for providing books and notes or tips for exams. They help in societies as well.

Admission

On the basis of JEE Mains rank, which was 5025, I had to fill choices of branches. Then a merit list was taken out of all the applied students and then I freezed my branch ECE in the 5th round. I had to go to DTU for completing the registration process.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is good mostly. Experienced professors with mostly PhD in their subject. But some of the teachers (guest faculties/ research scholars) need to be changed because they themselves don't have knowledge of the subject.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
