Remarks
Ragging at this place is quite an easy remark everyone makes. But being here now, I feel the situation has been better than it usually was, college provides platform for various activities students want to take part it in.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think course circullum is very opinionated and specific. It focuses on overall development of the fellow under grads, providing sufficient equipments and instruments in the various labs in the University, thus stating that *Pratical Knowledge is very important* , not just the textbook ones.
Placement Experience
College does has many placement and job opportunities. Many of my seniors have passed out from this University with flying colours securing very good jobs. As I am a fresher here in my second semester, I dont know about the placement opportunites yet. Though my college has already registered us for some *Internship and Placement training* which hopefully helps everyone of us out.
College Events
Events and fests are celebrated in a very fancy manner. Fests usually are held in every even semester time. Given, *Illumina*, Annual Sports Event; *Samavesh*, Annual Tech Fest; *Vassaunt* , Annual Cultural fest. Seniors at our college do an great amount of work with much sincerity to make these fests a success.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is more or less feasible, considering it is an Govt. College. Scholarships and stuff are also provided to the required kids after proper document verification. It is very important here as a majority of kids come from very rural places but with huge talent.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is an scholarship which helps students whose family income is less than 5 lakhs a year, compulsing their JEE Main ranks be less than 75k. This majorly covers most of the course fee helping the poor kids to pursue their dream.
Campus Life
The university's football and cricket team excel at most of the inter college tournaments which are held around the year. Inductions into the University football team take place just as the freshers arrive. Seniors support them a lot, taking care of them both on and off the field. There is an dance club called Vibranz which also has won major trophies for eg they stood second at spring fest at IIT, Kharagpur. There are clubs for every field vis-a-vis, Robotics, Quizzing and many other.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for Hostel. I live at Pulasthya Hall of Residence, which is very close to college premises. Food and acccomodation is very great here, one con is quality of supply water here which is pretty bad. So me and my roommates have opted for barrel water which we pay 60 INR for every barrel which is around 20L. Overally i can rate it 3/5.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very very helpful. They guide us through each and every aspect throughout our time here. They also make sure we're disciplined enough and also enjoy out time here. They also give us their books which are of no use of them now at less price which benifts us the, freshers.
Admission
I got admission here via OJEE counselling which does admission to major colleges in Odisha on the basis of JEE MAIN marks. I got an admission here in the Electrical Branch as the branch has been known to excell in recent times.
Faculty
Faculty at my college is very good. Though I'll be honest here, some of the faculty are below par, but most them are very great, coming from major backgrounds. Even lab assistants are very helpful, while the students pursuing M.Tech also support the procedure of learning and helping out the juniors.
