You might have to adjust a lil bit like you would have to do anywhere else. All in all i guess it's workable. Girls might experience restriction on the type of clothes you wear. People are sort of orthodox here, but then i guess so are the most of the people across the nation. Although, on the brighter side it's better as compared to most of the other places.

The course structure of Btech is pretty chill, the curriculum is evenly distributed over the period of four years. The starting semesters are crucial and sort of difficult but it gets more gullible as you approach the end of your ug. Also, the difficulty level varies with the branch you are in.

We have a decent placements record. To be honest it's not really out of the roof and completely mindblowing or anything but yeah if you have requisite skills, you are definitely going to be placed in a reputed company. All the renound companies do visit the campus. Some of them are amazon, adobe, microsoft, UHG etc. All in all there are innumerous opportunities available for you to grab.

There are two main events here, technical fest techNITi and our cultural fest, UTKANSH. The former one is celebrated in the odd semester where as the latter falls in the even. Technical fest is all about celebrating technology. Varies events like robowars, hackathon etc etc are organised. Utkansh is all about celebrating artists. All the extra curricular clubs organise there own events. Dance, music, drama, star night and many more.

Fee structure here is like any other nit or iit. We have different criterias for fee. Concessions are being provided on the basis of castes( for SC, ST, PH) and also on the basis of your family income ( more than 5 lac, between 1 lac and 5 lac and less than 1 lac) There are certain changes in every semester. But overall if you are a general student having income more than 5 lac, your fee would be around 70k. Plus the mess charges which range between 25k to 30k. This may vary from year to year or semester wise, this is only a rough idea.

Scholarship by the institute are provided if you some genuine problems. You are required get a form from the academics and write an application and get it signed by the director. They require various other documents depending upon what your case may be. Also, if you have done exceptionally good in your academics they might also consider you for some scholarship. The discounts and concessions are provided only on the tuition fees.

Several clubs are functioning here, be it dance, music, drama, bhangra, literary and debates and many more. We have a gymnastics centre and a gym inside the campus too to focus on the health and physique of the students.

Yes, i'm a hosteler. The hostels are clean and totally residential. We have full time duty attendants to look after the students safety. The mess is inside the hostel premise only. The food is also of good quality. It's not a hotel or anything so don't expect anything out of the box. Comparing what other hostels provide, the facilities are pretty good here, in my opinion.

Annually our institute invite the older batches those are passouts. Several alumni are in the contact with the students. Seniors are your best shot at guidance and mentorship in the college. Make some good senior friends, they are gonna stick with you till the end.

Since it's a National Institute, you get admission here by clearing JEE ( Joint Entrance Exam) Based upon the rank you get, you are alloted the branches after several allotment rounds. The allocations for all the iits and nits across the country is done by josaa.

The faculty here is highly qualified. Most of the professors are phd. The majority of the classes are taken by them. Not only this, some reside in the campus only, so some of them are also available to help the students out even after the academic hours.
