Remarks

It is an all-girls college which is actually situated off-campus but it is worth studying in it. It is an arts and commerce college. It doesn't have science stream. Still, the college has good and positive vibes all around which encourages the students to study.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

BCOM (HONS) is itself an extraordinary and informing subject. The course is a full package of all the subjects of commerce like business, accountancy, economics, taxes, law, computers, marketing, human resource management, statistics, fundamentals of investments etc.. It feels to be in previlige to have done this course.

Internships Opportunities

The college specifically invites various companies to the college so that they can offer internships to the students interested. The stipend depends on the company or the cognitive skill of the particular student.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is separate placement cell in the college. Every year, various companies visit the college to offer jobs to the students. Companies like KPMG, E&Y etc visits the college every year. Also the placement cell trains the students for their career development.

College Events

5

There are various events and functions which are being organised by the college every year. Some of the functions are departmental festivals, freshers and farewell parties, official and unofficial seminars and last but not the least is the annual cultural festival of the college i.e "ULLAS".

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is feasible since it is less than rs 20000 and it includes 2 semesters as a whole i.e. the fess is paid for a year. The fees is to be paid online by debit/credit card, net banking or through e-wallets.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year, the college provides scholarships to the hardworking students who have scored highest in a particular year. The students are awarded cash prizes along with the trophy and a certificate. Also, students excelling in other areas are also awarded.

Campus Life

4

There is an equal balance between the importance given to academics and extracurricular activities. The labs are effectively and efficiently equipped with tools required. Special places are made for the games like basketball ground, cricket and football ground etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

There is no hostel facilities provided by the college. Although, other infrastructure facilities provided are in good conditions. Spacious rooms with adequate furniture, cleanliness, safe and clean washrooms, gym, playground are some of the examples of excellent facilities provided to the students

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful. Every year there is an event which is specially organised for the alumni. The event and celebration is conducted in the auditorium. Various alumnus are called upon and invited for the event.

Exam Structure

The exams are conducted at the end of every semester. Also, the examinations are conducted in two shifts for 3 hours each i.e. morning and evening. However, the papers are not examined by the internal college staff. The answer sheets are being sent to other college for the evaluation. The results are declared in CGPA and displayed online on the DU portal.

Admission

I got admission in this college through the merit list. I scored 95% and I got the chance to take admission in this college in the 4th list of cut off. Since the fourth list said that anyone who scored 95% can take admission, I was eligible for the same. Hence, I got the admission.

Faculty

5

I believe that the faculty of my college is among the best faculty in the whole delhi university. Every other teacher is kind and supportive in every manner. The professors have good and interesting ways of teaching to the students. Most importantly, the teachers try to understand the problem of each student and solve their problem academically.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
