Regarding Review of Mithibai College

The college is the best for the range of courses it offers and opportunities it provides to its students. The management of college is the best and the entire focus is on digitalisation wherin everything is done online from admission to disclose of results.

All subjects are perfectly divided in 6 semesters. The first 2 semesters have all common topics for all the fields. Its in 2 and 3 year where actual specialization starts.For eg. Since I had opted accounting and finance my core subjects in 2 & 3year were only related to accounts and finance.

The college is very well known for the placements it provides. All the top firms come to provide internship. The college also have placement cells to manage the college placements process. I was not able to crack interviews but many of my friends have got their offer letters. The average stipend is around 5-6 lacks per year.

A large number of job opportunities are there for all the students of all the streams. Some of the examples of companies coming to college are Icici Bank, Jp Morgan, Usha , Deloitte, etc. The selection process is divided in 3 phases i.e Group Discussion, Interview and Personal Interview.

The college is very well known for the events it has throughout the year. Some of the major fest celebrated by college are Collosseum and Kshitij. The fest are entirely managed by students of college and many colleges are invited to participate in various competitions.

The fees are very affordable and a proper receipt is given for the same. The fees is mainly divided as tution fees , library fees , IT fees and other charges.No extra amount is collected from students other than fees throughout the year.

No such scholarship or loan facility is offered or availed to students. If a student has topped then a monetary reward is given.Other than this college also provides railway concessions for its students .

The college has 2 computer labs which are very well equipped with modern technologies which are updated. The college has a gymkhana wherin a student can relax by playing chess, carrom and table tennis.

On a scale of 10 I would rate the hostel infrastructure 6 because it does not have any hostel facilities for non localite students but the classrooms are very well equipped with modern amenities required also the college canteen is very hygiene and health oriented.

The college has a wall of fame which includes the well known personalities of countries and are alumni of college. The college invites them on a regular basis to motivate students in their fields of expertise.

There is only 1 exam per semester which is of 100 marks per subject . This 100 marks are divided as 75 for main writing exam and 25 marks internals. Passing marks for internals are 10 and for main exam is 25 marks making an overall passing marks of 35 out of 100.

The college has admissions only through online merit list . Gujrathis have an advantage since college has reservations for Gujarati Linguistic Minorities and a different merit list is issued for Gujrati Minorities . My admission was also done through Gujarathi Minority 3 merit list.

Faculty of the college is very well trained and have expertise in their field of teaching. Also for every subject at least 2-3 teachers are assigned. Teachers also make use of technology while delivering their lectures.
