Best Private Engineering College in West Bengal

The college is doing really good.In coming years I hope it will became one of the top private college in India.There are some strict rules and restrictions & discipline we have to maintained in our college.But I think it prepares us for the Corporate World.So the college transform us from boys to men.

IEM is in under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology(MAKAUT).So it has to follow the curriculum which is provided by MAKAUT.The curriculum is decent.New Technologies like AI,Cloud Computing,Natural Language Processing,Machine Learning is also included in the curriculum.

Yes,our college provide internship but to grab internship you need to score above 80% in the semesters.After 6th semester,TCS came to our college to provide internship.Also many other companies came to provide internship in the domain of Cyber Security,PHP etc.

we have two fest. One is Tech fest(Innovation) and another is Cultural fest(IEMPACT). Around 30 to 40 events have been organized every year. You will get a lots of exposure in these fests.Also if you are interested in Entrepreneurship.,then it's also a best college for you. We have strong E-cell who consistently perform well in all india business summit Competitions. Also from 2007 to now around 15 to 16 start-ups created under the guidance of IEM E Cell. Obviously these start-ups created by our college’s Alumni.Also if you have some start-up idea, then you can showcase your plan in front of some of the best investors(VCs, Angel Investors) in the country as well as abroad. Recently Two UK based investors came to our college in our Tech fest. They heard the start-up idea from our college students.Top 3 Students got 1.5 lakhs endowment for their start up idea. Also college regularly organize Workshops and events regarding Entrepreneurship.

For 4 years we have to pay around 4.5 lakhs in total.For 3 years(For Lateral entry) we have to pay around 3.36 lakhs in total..For 1st Semester you have to pay around 82650 rupees.So I can say the fee structure is moderate as compared to other private universities.

I have heard that for some students college offer Scholarship on the basis of financial stability.For Loan facility,you can opt for SBI Bank or any other banks.The fees is not greater than 5 lakhs,so I hope you wouldn't face any struggle to get loan.Also you have have rank card which you can submit to the bank.So on the basis of merit you will easily get loan.

As I have mentioned earlier we have tech fest and culture fest.Apart from that we have music club,dance club,quiz club etc.These clubs regularly organised some events in the college.Also our college regularly participate in inter college cricket tournament and football tournament & won many trophies.

I have not lived in hostel.So I don't have any idea regarding hostel.But what I have heard from my friends they provide decent hostel facilities.Some students are also opt to stay in apartments/Flats which is near to college.Its not mandatory that you have to live in hostel.Its optional.

We have strong alumni network.Every year in the month of december,alumni meeting and felicitation is organize.Our college is 32 years old(as of 2019).Many alumni of college current working in big companies like Apple,Yahoo,Google,Microsoft,Facebook,SAP Lab etc.Many alumni launch successful startups like distronix etc.Senior students are really helpful.

We have two Mid Semesters,one End semester(Theory).Before End Semester,LAB Exams also conducted.Generally ODD Semester is started in December & Even Semester is started in MAY.In every semester we have to study at least 5 to 6 subjects.

The faculty of our college is excellent.Most of the faculties regularly not only teaches us well but also encourages us to publish paper at various conference.They have also great knowledge in their respective field.Our college also has TAs(Teaching Assistants) who also help professors in labs.
