Internships Opportunities
Once every year the Placement Cell of the college brings in few companies for internship, most of which are unknown or very less reputed. Mostly the students find companies on their own. The college brings in these companies just to boast about their internship efforts for the students.
College Events
Talking about events, there are quite a few celebrations in the college. Apart from dressing up in ethnics on regular festival celebrations like holi and Diwali , we also have our cultural fest like SYMAROH and sports fest SYMPERIA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The annual fees of the college is 2,20,000 which can be paid in half yearly installments of 1,10,000 each. The total fees of the course comes around to be 7 lakh rupees. The fees is quite high for BBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
For first year student scoring the highest marks there is some fee wavier but it has a tough competition for it so make sure to score pretty good marks to avail the scholarship. The college accepts students with student loans taken from banks.
Campus Life
SCMS promotes all kind of sports activities and regularly send their best sportspersons to Symbiosis Pune for the inter college competitions. But there is a major drawback for footballers as there is no playground in the college, so to practice the game students have to go to local stadiums or grounds the rental fee for which is paid by the college itself.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostels offered by the college are decent but the facility is only available for girls. Boys have to get a PG or Hostel outsourced by the college. The overall infrastructure of the college is very impressive with Air conditioned classes and seminar halls all the major amenities are present in the college.
Exam Structure
There are total 6 semester in three years of the degree. every semester is divided into to major exams the internal assessment and the external assessment. Usually the internal exams carry less credits and are checked by your college faculty.
Admission
Firstly, We are required to fill out the entrance exam form of the college which is SET ( symbiosis entrance test ) we here select the institutes and courses we wish to apply for and we also choose the centre for the entrance examination. After entrance exam and result declaration a cut off list is prepared and shortlisted students get a call from the respective institutes for interviews. In the final stage students select their interview dates and time and at last after few weeks they get the acceptance letter if selected or they are provided with a waiting list number.
Faculty
The faculty have good qualification most of them are P.HD's but the same does not reflect in their teaching skills. Although being very educated and knowledgeable in their respective fields they fail to build students interest in the subjects and the way of teaching used by them is very tedious and uninteresting.
