Remarks

Well yeah college needs to improve now the discrimination between evening in morning shifts ain't fairneed to update there sylabus in course.

Entrance Preview

I took the admission in this college after giving AIEEE 2011 the main reason for choosing this college was that it is one of the oldest colleges in india established in 1956 ranked at 37 tg beat engineering college in india at that time by outlook.

Internships Opportunities

No internship experience never heard anyone about any internship stuff there though people joined various mnc during there projects like tata,mahindra,volkswagen etc.

Placement Experience

Even though college claims 100% placement we all know its not trueamong 260 in out batch only 130 were placed put of which 101 were placed in tcs. 5 in ashoka , 4 in ltt etc.Packages are very low just starts from 3 lakhs going all the way up to 7 lakhs.

College has 2 fests names genesis n unlessbut they suck as all the performances are basically by ex alumni or by local singerslack of sponsors is also a major concernthe college also houses ncc n nssn various societies like iste. scie etc.

Well its feasible it was 48k per semester so yeah its pretty decent n affordablehlu need to all hostel charges here thouhbeing a day scholar have no idea about that.

Gender ratio in an engineering college is a joke especially for mechanical engineering where you won't find a single girloverall college has an girls quota so yeah gender ratio to an extent is there no political shit happens toon economical standard is variable from to poor to too rich no ragging happens in college has zero tolerance to defualters.

Hostel Facilities

Never lived in hostels as i was a day scholars but yeah hostels are old n need renovation except hostel 1 which is new in goif.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Well we had an alumni meet and hencewe came to meet various ex genconians who live in usa uk australia etc uk it was an cool session with everyone explaining there achievement in stuff.

Exam Structure

Well exam structure was a mixed bag as the day for early viva guys would be soon n hence they will be free early while others might be waiting till late i.e 7 or even next day for there turnsas of exam patteren that is completely unpredictablethere are ch

The course curriculum was predecided by the college faculties and p.t.u ( punjab technical institute )in fact there basic criteria sucked even in the optional courses we were given to chose only from 3 choices among 15 reason : lack of teachers seriously

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

As this college was nearest to my home . It is. Also one the most popular college in Punjab. It is most affordable college . I didn't applied to any other college .
