Remarks

Our college is very good and if you make it in our college through the cut off list then dont think twice before applying because it will be worth it. The canteen may not be one of the best ones when it comes to food but it has all the nescafe products, cakes and chips and chocolates so you won't remain hungry and the academics is really very good with a supportive college environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

B.com hons is one of the esteemed courses offered by D.U. It is an integrated course which opens major lines for all kind of subjects in the commerce streams with an in-depth knowledge about each and every integral core subject and offers high growth prospects in career with the promise of reasonably high financial rewards.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it provides internships through the Rajdhani Placement cell. Since I have not taken any internship, I won't be able to give the details but the placement cell is very supportive and keeps on updating the students about the internships offered.

Placement Experience

4

The placements and job opportunities are reasonably good. We have got good contacts with the corporate field and all streams get placement offers. all the information is regularly updated on the college website.

4

Our college celebrates all kinds of festivals and college societies take the major initiative in organising them. Gandhi jayanti, republic day, independence day, diwali mela ..all of them are celebrated with great enthusiasm and the societies and departments organise their independent fests and the main college fest happens in March which is one of the limelight of the D.U experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Rs.11070 is the total fees of b.com hons including all the examination fees. It is very reasonable and the fees for other courses are listed in the site. It is feasible and quite reasonable according to the facilities including air conditioned labs and reading room.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided to the EWS and the specially abled children. Rest I am not aware about much of this matter the information is all provided in our college site.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors have been no less than our teachers and guides. They are amazing and ready to help us whenever we need it. They are really good and very supportive and provide a moral support as well and guide us through Society leaderships.

Exam Structure

It works on the CBCS Semester based exam pattern. We have 6 semesters centrally approved by the Delhi University for all the DU colleges. We get to choose some of our subjects out of the 5 to 6 subjects in which we woruld like to gain an expertise. Exams happen in month of May and December.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
