Remarks

My university is located in Malda, West Bengal and it has a huge campus allowing students to get involved in various kinds of activities that are organised inside the campus. Also the university has Fully air conditioned hall, Modernized computer lab and digital library to ease the learning process for the students

Placement Experience

4

Since the education system of the university is good, so the students get placement without any much difficulty. All my seniors today are working in good organisations and even I also have plans to work posting completing my masters from here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am doing Masters of Arts from Gour Bnga University and I found the courses fee quite affordable. I paid almost INR 6000 as course fees. Also it is an officially accredited university by the University Grants Commission, India offering coeducational higher education to the learners like me.

Alumni/Alumna

Gour Banga is a reputed university, so students from different places come here to study different courses. My college is very strict against those who get involved in any kind ragging activities and give harsh punishment to them, if found guilty.

Admission

To be honest, admission in my college is slightly tough due to so many students applying year, the admission is on the merit basis and sometimes the college even publish third cut off list as well. The aspirants can fill the application form online.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.
