Best Catholic College for girls in Thrissur

I completed my BCA from Little Flower College Guruvayoor. It is one of the best catholic colleges in Thrissur. I had a wonderful time as a student there, the teachers were quite helpful and my classmates were also fun, the college also used to hold events for students. During the course duration, I learned many things which helped me a lot later in life. The college is re-accredited as grade 'B' by NAAC and is ever-developing college run by trusts.

The college is affiliated to the University Of Calicut, and so follows all the guidelines, rules and syllabus mandated by the University very strictly. The course is composed of two-three core subjects and 2 electives and optional. At the start of the course, less technical/core subjects are stressed over but later on, only core subjects are stressed over. Being a semester-based course, examinations by University were held twice every year at the end of the semester. College also holds regular internal examinations to evaluate and help students practice for the main examinations. Class tests are also held regularly by some teachers.

There is a counseling center in college where two full-time counselors are always available to provide guidance and counseling to needy and deserving students of the college either for academics, sports, social or any other related advice.

The fee for the course i did i.e, BCA was Rs. 18750 charged per semester by the college. Though the fee is quite expensive but the quality education provided here makes the price worth it, and also the facilities provided here.

There are many scholarships for meritorious and students from weaker sections of society supported by the college and external bodies as well like state government, central government, etc as - 1. Many scholarships are available especially to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other eligible communities to promote education The renewal of most of the scholarship and stipends depends upon good behaviour and progress of the students. One can easily know more about them from the notice board or consulting the concerned faculty.

There is a Hostel facility too, for students in college. The hostel name is Little Flowers Hostel and has the occupancy of almost 200 students, run directly by the Principal of the college and the wardens of the hostel. To stay at the hostel, students are required to inform and fill the form at the admission time. There are also some strict rules applicable in the hostel to maintain the students' safety.

Regarding my admission, I applied for the college through merit. First, I filled the registration form from the Calicut University website to apply for the graduation BCA in Little Flowers College which I wanted to apply for. My name showed up on the merit list, and I was selected for a short interview which went well for me, and I got admission for BCA under this college. With it, my documents were cross-verified and I submitted my fee to ensure my admission to the college.

The faculty of the college is well qualified, knowledgeable and always there to resolve doubts of students relating to any topic. The faculty is quite friendly and also advises and often helped us in multiple throughout our course duration.
