Above Average Below Good

Conclusion about the college is above average.

I took WBJEE exam and my rank was 11000 approx. Course was Information Technology (As per my rank this is the college which I got)Admission Process : Through Counselling. No interview.

This college follow the course curriculum of West bengal University of technology now named as MAKAUT as it is affiliated to it.Course and subjects are good.It's a decent college and fee is also not so high.Faculty members are good.It is AICTE approved college.College don't have a playground.It has a small campus.The campus is in front of the road so no transport problem.

There is very less chance of internship. However some students get it.

Approx 70%-75% students gets placed if it's not a recession year.Companies like Cognizant, Infosys, Capgemini, ITC, Microsoft(pool), Yodlee(pool), ADP(pool) comes every year. Cognizant technology solution, ITC infotech are sure shot company, it comes every year.Apart from these local companies also comes.There are some other companies also like verizone, Igate, etc comes but they are not regular.

Technical fest, Cultural fest, Saraswati puja celebration, Vishwakarma Puja celebration and Sports day happens every years.In Saraswati puja celebration and Vishwakarma Puja celebration every student is given a food packet.Cricket, football, chess, caram board, table tennis,etc tournament happens every year.

Fee is not so expensive. At my time it was around Rs 80k -90k depending upon the course type.(B.tech/MCA). Students are also offered laptops from the college. they can choose either to take or to buy from their own.

Loan facility is availed. If a student who took admission and his parents expire then a full fee redemption is done.Also there are some other scholarship offered by the University.Student can apply for scholarship from outside.

Campus life is above average.College don't has a ground but it hires ground for sports day, cricket and football tournament.Fest are good. Once in out cultural fest we called Jal band from Pakistan.There are several competition in fest like, story writing, photography, robotics, painting, quiz, etc.

I didn't live in hostel but came to know that hostel is not good. Actually college don't have any hostel they have contract based hostel. Better to join paying guest in near by area rent a flat or room.

College Alumni student do good in outside world.

Exam structure is good and it happens twice a year as a semester exam. Each semester has two internal exam. All the exams happens in the home centre. However some external teachers comes for guarding.
