Remarks
The canteen food is costly and waste. The college canteen keeps 20 rupees for an 18 rupee soft drink bottle. The accommodation is pretty good since the infrastructure provided is far better. The food has to be improved a lot.
Course Curriculum Overview
Currently, we are having cbcs 2015 scheme which is a bit outdated. We have exams semester-wise. Each semester will have 6 to 7 papers. Total 4 years 8-semester exam will be there. Under Vishveswaraya Technological University.
Placement Experience
Our college has a wonderful placement team lead by Rashmi Bhandary. We have around 151+ companies visiting our college who recruit around 600 students. The placement team starts their training right from the beginning of engineering which gives the wonderful result.
College Events
We have very few events celebrated compared to other colleges. We have a cultural event which is Sinchana conducted on Nov 1st of every year and different branch inaugurations which are open to all branches and that would be grand.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of our college is a bit disappointing the fees are very high and for a student from a middle-class family finds it very difficult to cope with the fees and the deadlines they put. They provide the best ambiance to study.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides e pass scholarships for financially weak students and they provide load facilities from the nearby Canara bank present in the college premises. The e pass scholarship is actually provided by the government for which the college supports.
Campus Life
There are many extracurricular activities such as cultural sports etc going on in our college. Our college has won many sports achievements in athletics and games. We have a good physical trainer do as to train the sports aspirants.
Alumni/Alumna
Not much but the students passed out from Sahyadri had found one or the other way to survive and they will be holding a bag full of feelings they made during their engineering life. The seniors are very proud to say that they are sahyadrians.
Admission
After I completed my intermediate I wrote a common entrance test conducted by the Karnataka entrance authority and since I was a gadinadu kannadiga I had to give an exam on Kannada too. The paper had 3 sections physics chemistry and mathematics and I got a rank of 12024 based on the rank I got admission.
Faculty
The faculty in our college are very helpful and impartial. They are always available for students' needs. The faculty are very knowledgeable and are supportive of the student interests. Sometimes the faculty take the pain to teach the required students on holidays too.
