Marine Engineering is a core mechanical branch. B.tech marine eng. Is well maintained and is so organised that it will be easy for student who have interest in the course or who really wants to face the challenges of sea. You have four class test for internal marks which goes throughtout the semester and final end sem exams. There are total 8 semester that means 8 end sem exams. Syllabus is not that tough if u have interest in practical thing.

If you have not failed in any of the subjects then you can be placed easily. Yes, college provides intership for the one who have not placed and for those whose companies wants them to do internship before coming to on board like MOL cadets do their internship in college.There is a shipping campus in the college where a model ship is there "PVD". Cadets do their internships in pvd only. My overall experience is very good till now but i m in second year. I have also applied for maesrk recently results are awaited. Maybe i'll get place in the world's no. 1 company.

Freshers in our college is kept for 2 days followed with many events like sports, cultural, gaming etc. This time freshers theme was halloween and it was lit. Also there was a event which was treasure hunt and freshers have enjoyed alot. There are cultural events which keeps going on throughout the sem like in diwali ,teachers day,etc. Also our college goes for the intercollege fest NAUGHTICA and our college is continously winning it for the past 3 years. And then we have our college fest "horizon" it is a three day fest which has a lot of events alot. Maybe more than 50. It is very enjoyable and exciting. Four houses competes each other in differnt different activities like sports, drama, dance , singing ,gaming,wrestling,and many more.

For b.tech marine engineering it is around 20 lacs for whole course which includes everything like hostel bills, laundry bills, mess bills, stationary and everything. Fee structure is moderate as as our mess bill for a day is just 150 rupees. Like that there are so many things but the overall fees is very high as a middle class person has to compromise to get a degree of b.tech marine engineering. Well one can take bank loan also. Like i have also taken a bank loan. And i am doing a lot of hard work to make my parents proud.

College provide scholarship based on merit list which is based on overall percentage and overall performance. College provide scholarship to top 35 students. College has given some banks which can offer loan to those cadets who cannot invest such a large fee amount. The problem with the bank also is that they do not give such a big amount until and unless you have some security like property and all. I have got scholarship of 10000 in my second semester as per merit list.

College focuses more on the overall development of a cadet. Sports facilities are good, labs are good. There are many clubs in the college which can be join If u have interest in them. Every sports have interhouse championship. Also i hve said earlier a lot of cultural events goes thoroughout the semester like freshers, horizon,etc. We have one football ground, three basket ball courts, 3 badminton courts(wooden), two volley ball courts, 4 squash court, table tennis,swimming pool 3 tennis court. And you will enjoy the extra cirricular in here.

Hostel is compulsary for all and is included in the overall course fee. Hostel infrastructure are nice, clean toilets, clean surrounding, spacious rooms, solar geasers etc. And also there is greenry everywhere you see near and there.

Yeah seniors are very good here. Ragging and alcohol is 0 tolerance in college if one found doin all these you are out of the college. Seniors are very helpful they do help in studies and anything you want to learn.

First i have given IMUCET exam which can be applied online. Clearing imucet exam for my college is very important and it must be cleared otherwise you can't take admission in the college. After clearing imucet i have applied for my entrance exam of the college its is named as TMISAT and if you clear this exam then you will have a interview by the captains or chief and you will be selected if you can clear both interview and tmisat.

Faculty of college are excellent. Most of the faculties who teaches marine subjects are marine engineers only who have served their job in merchant navy and retired as a chief engineer. They are very intelligent and practical. Many of the faculties have done phd in many streams. They are friendly. They are helpful. And they also understand how to deal with the students so that they can make out best of them.
