Review for School of Commerce, NMIMS

The college is extremely strict on attendance The college does not have a set campus It's just 2/3 floors The college gets stuffy after a certain point The college is in Mumbai and one of the best areas in the city

The course has a very comprehensive and well thought of mix between practical exposure and theory. Every project we did from our first semester was out of the box and most required us to step out of our comfort zone and understand fields. They have an exam at the end of every semester. 6 semesters 6 exams

There is a placement cell which brings in companies. However, internship opportunities are rarely shared. I went for an internship with a startup via college and my stipend was 6000 rupees per month. I worked as a part of the marketing team

The college has the it's on national level fest - Vaayu It also has an event that happens during second year as a part of the marketing project where every class sets up stalls for products and sells them. It has a talent hunt and annual day as well.

The fees structure is expensive. When I joined it was 80 thousand rupees a year Currently it's 1.2 lacs a year. So the fee structure is on the higher end since most colleges charge much lesser. And there isn't any campus as such

We did not have any options of good scholarships or loans offered when we were joining hence no one from my class had that option in my knowledge. However now on contacting the college, they must have something in hand since they were intending to inculcate more financial support.

I did not live in a hostel I lived with my mother However there are a number of options for paying guests or hostels around the college with all the basic amenities available. The cost varies according to size and conditions.

The alumni network is barely coming into play now. We never had access to one in college but could reach out to our seniors on LinkedIn for help when needed. A lot of our seniors who started their own firms also hired full time employees and provided internships to the college students.

I had to give the NMAT exam then and then got selected via results. I was then called to college for documentation and verification. Now they have NPAT for undergraduate degrees. I appeared for the NMAT right after my 12th boards

The faculty is approachable and knowledgeable. Helped us and solved our doubts repeatedly. They always take new approaches to make the class interesting. The faculty also stays in touch with the alumni.
