Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very good. Topics required for our respective branch are properly designed by our professors. We'll be having 2 quizzes, 1 mid-sem exam & 1 end-sem exam & assignments. Based on the marks obtained in these exams, marks will be given. And based on relative performance of students, marks are scaled and GPA is calculated.
Placement Experience
Placements are extremely good in our college. Almost 250 companies visit our every year. Top companies like GOOGLE, Amazon, Flipkart, Infosys, AMD, Intel, BMW offer very good packages for top students.
College Events
Engineer technical fest, which was held in October is south India's 2nd largest fest. Dandiya night was celebrated during DASHARA. Diwali was also celebrated very grandly. DJ night, Treasure hunt, Kannada raajyotsava, unity run, Aurora & other events will be conducted by different clubs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is bit expensive considering the fact that our college is government funded. It is around 2 lakh rupees per year (including academic, hostel, food) But fess redemption will be available for students having annual income less than INR 5,00,000/1,00,000. If income is less than 5 lakh, 66.66% of fees will be returned back & if it's less than 1 lakh, then 100% of fees will be returned.
Fees and Financial Aid
Top 50 students of the college(Whose annual income is less than 4.5 lakh) will be awarded scholarship. Top Students will be selected based on their JEE main rank(1st year) / CGPA of previous academic year(For 2nd/3rd/4th year students )
Campus Life
Nitk encourages extra curricular activities a lot. Sports facilities are very good here. Tournaments will be held evey now & then. Professionalsports is also encouraged. Labs are part of academic curriculum. So labs will be conducted every week.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not so great. Rooms allotted are very old. Food is eatable. Lan port is available in every room & Lan internet connection is very good. But wifi speed is not so good. Bathrooms are very clean.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is excellent, amazing. They provide alumni funds. They organize many events every year. They also help during internships, interviews & placements. Out college is raging free. So seniora aren't annoying, rather they are helpful.
Admission
I got admitted to this college based on JEE Main rank. JEE main exam is conducted by National testing agency. So, based on all India rank obtained in the exam, college will be allotted through online process. Then student should confirm their admission by paying fees & producing necessary documents.
Faculty
Our college has very experienced faculty. All the professors hold a pH. D degree & are specialized in respective subjects. So they are highly knowledgeable, excellent. Their way of delivery of topics is just amazing.
