My college review

The surrounding area is very silent and there are many attractions around the college in the bearby distance and transportation facilities are very nice. As train station and bus stands are at walking distance for long travelling students

Talking about Production Engineering, it is a specialised course which falls in the mechanical domain. It main focuses on the manufacturing technique and ways to increase the production and cutting the cost. It also teaches the management skills required in a manufacturing company. The exams structure is very simple. In a particular semester, there are two mid-sem test and a average is calculated based on the two test and at the end of the semester a end-sem exam is kept which is usually of 60-80 marks. And in some subjects viva/practicals are also there at the end of the semester

There are many internship opportunities in every branch and in production engineering, there is a mandatory 6 months internship. The placement and job opportunities are very nice as a number a dream companies visit the college for the placements.

Traditional day, sports dag, annual day, and there a number a event organized by the student chapters, so it altogether a very fun atmosphere , provided you indulge in the activities. The main focus are SAE teams which participate in international event and it's a very good opportunity to be a part of these teams.

The fee structure a expensive, hit at the same time it's an autonomous college affiliated permanently to the University of Mumbai, and at the end of the course you get a B.tech degreee. Labs are well equipped and library has a big batabase of books and ebook, and also eJournals, subscription to top publishers.

The scholarship are provedide to the students in a number of variety. Disabled, financially poor, good in academics, etc. There is a loan facilities when you fill a simple form provided by the college and there is also a scheme for waving off the tuition fee.

I got admission in DJ Sanghvi through institute level seat(20% of actual seat available for Jr. College students). But still the seat was given on the merit among the students present at the instant. As any vacancy occurs in any department, the students were made aware of and interested students could aplly for the seat.

Faculty of the college is of good quality level, some having very good way of teaching and many have industry level experience, so learning from the ones who have actually worked in the companies practically. Faculty members are very friendly and are ready to solve the doubts at anytime. Even some faculty members can teach you extra subjects which are out of the their scope or curriculum, provided you request them to teach.
