Great College with not so great administration

Some positive things are like placements for CSE IT branches and negatives are the hostels sanitation, high fees, bad food and administration which is not so willing to listen to the student's problems.

The curriculum can be improved and made more up to date as it still misses on some topics which must be incorporated and has some topics which I feel are too outdated to be studied. Also, the exam structure can be more improved.

There are a number of companies that come to the college to offer internship as well as placements. I was offered internship by WalmartLabs in Bangalore which offered 50000 per month during the internship.

There are a number of events held by different clubs and 1 technical fest, 1 cultural fest and 1 hackathon held annually in the college but it misses out on some necessary programmes such as freshers and farewell.

I would say it's on the expensive side and the facilities provided are not upto mark according to fees that is taken, the mess provides with bad food also the cleanliness is very bad in the hostels. The workers sometimes go on a strike and the hostels even the bathrooms are left dirty.

There is a scholarship program for those whose family income is below poverty line. If they score good in the semester exams, they are offered scholarship based on their scores. This is a great opportunity that can help the needy.

There are a number of extracurricular activities like annual sports fest and the labs are also renovated by the help of TEQIP. There is also a gym that can be accesed by all the students and faculty of the college

The alumni network is great but there is less interaction between seniors and juniors due to them staying at different hostels and also preventing functions like formal freshers for them. This can be improved.

I appeared in JEE Mains and filled in for the seat in BIT Mesra while online counselling. After the counselling got over, I was allotted the seat and then I confirmed it by visiting the nearest reporting centre. The rest of admission process was completed in the college itself.

The faculty is quite okayish and very less number of people have amazing amount of knowledge. Most of them just come and run through some slides and in the end of semester the students are left to themselves in order to prepare.
