Remarks

Overall, even though campus isn't fully developed yet, there is no lack of facilities provuded by the university. The curriculum is good and the faculties are friendly. The teaching method is good too. The extracurricular activities blend in and make it a pleasant stay at VIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is FFCS (Fully flexible credit system) based. There are International credit transfer programmes too where student can complete their graduation from a foreign university which has a tie up with VIT-AP. The examinations are conducted on digital pads and pen and paper aren't used.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are decent and companies like Amazon, Microsoft, IBM etc. visit the other campuses for placement. VIT-AP however is a new college and the first batch(2017) is yet to graduate from the college. But the placements are said centralised and thus during the placements the students will have to go to the vellore campus. The college also provides and encourages internships, by the third year, the college expects students to have done 2 interships at least.

College Events

5

The college comprises of students from all over the india and there are many clubs in the college that the college provides funds to which organise events. More or less every major festival celebrated in india is celebrated here, there are dance, singing competitions. There are hackathons and code exchange events. Debates and Quizzes and mamyother events are celebrated here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is somewhat feasible if admitted in category 1. There are categories ranging from 1 to 5 and according to the category the the tuition fees varies. Category 1 being the most feasible and category 5 being the last category or the most expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scolarship to first year students on the basis of their merit list rank and it provides scolarship to other students based on their academic performances or CGPA. The scolarship is yearly based.

Campus Life

3.5

There are lab lectures for every subject. The college has labs for Physics, ECE, Computer, Thermodynamics, 3D printing and much more. There are many sports events too for sports like football, cricket, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, basketball etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel infrastructure is very good. The hostel consists of 16 floors and there are water coolers and common restrooms at every floor. There are both AC and Non AC rooms. A room can be 2 bedded, 4 bedded, or 5 bedded. There are apartment type of rooms too where the rooms get an attached restroom which only the students living in the apartment type can use. The students who opt for apartment type also get a hall with couch, oven, AC and refrigerator. The hostel has a two dining areas for veg and non veg. There is a retail shop, table tennis tables, recreation rooms, gym, laundry room, saloon all available in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

As this campus is newly established the first batch is yet to graduate, and therefore an alumni network doesn't exist yet. However there is an alumni network of the other campuses of VIT. The seniors are helpful and there truly exists a ragging free environment.

Admission

After giving the VITEEE exam, a merit list was created through which i was admitted in the university. There was counselling at the college where the students were allotted the branch and campus of their choice if available according to the merit list rank.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty are well read and their method od teaching is good. They make presentations every class and every lecture is an interactive session. The presentations are also uploaded on the student logins on the university website which is accessible to all the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
