Actually I have not taken any special entrance to join this college. All I did was, I applied for Anna University counselling with 91.3%. Basically, since this college is a part of SRM group of institutions, the standard of teaching and coaching here would be very professional. Also it is one among the top rated colleges with ease of travel as it is situated nearer to both the bus stand and the railway station.One of the main reasons I choose this college was this travel facility. And also the placement opportunities are very well offered in this college.

The college follows the curriculum as prescribed by the Anna University. We are allowed to choose the electives of our own choice from the permitted list. As I chose Computer science stream, Mathematics is included in the curriculum till the 6th semester. And we would get 4 set of electives from our 3rd year. The final year project has its focus towards research and we have got good staff people to support us at every step that we take. Currently I am doing my 7th semester and the elective is User Interface Design and Cryptography. We will be provided projector sessions for clear understanding. The notes and books will be given to the students either via the college library or the department library or the staff members.

Our college doesn't provide generally companies to approach for internships. But we can approach any company and the college gives their full support for that. Many of our students has completed their internships in various companies like HCL, Accenture, etc.I have done my internship at Ogive solutions and my work was a document writer. My stipend was about 1000 per document. We can learn more about the working environment with the help of these internships and our college provides full support to the students and also encourages them.

The placements and the job opportunities in my college are to be given a 5 star rating. I say this mainly because, special training sessions are provided for the students right from the first year and at the start of the final year companies arrives for recruitment process.Special training from various institutions like FACE, CHIRON are given to the students. Top MNC's like TCS, HCL, Wipro, sutherland, Igate, L&T, accenture and so on visit our college every year.So far almost 50% of the eligible candidates got their offer letters (am one among them). The most fabulous event of our college is the college day that would be celebrated every year at the Grand Dr.T.P. Ganesan Auditorium. All our college students are allowed to participate and show case their talents.Achievers like overall performers, sports persons, rank holders, semester toppers, 100% attendance, Teachers are all awarded with cash prizes and certificates on that special occasion. We would be having chief guests like Neeya Naana Gopinath, Actor Arun vijay, etc. The major event of my department CSE is the cyborgs. This is a technical fest which would be conducted in a very large manner by inviting all the other college students with cash prizes for Rs.50,000. Special competitions like Ad-Zab, paper presentations, App Presentations, quiz, code hunt are conducted as a part of this grand technical fest - cyborgs.

The fees of our college is not expensive. It is feasible. We pay fees as tuition fees and the leadership development fees for a private organization which would help you at the time of your placements.The hostel fees would cover up to 70,000 (approx.). Our college provides various benefits for first graduates, and also various other caste related scholarships.Bus pass and train passes from the government will be given to the students who require it. The college also provides bus facilities with all the AC buses operating in various routes in and around the city.

Now-a-days, Educational Loans are availed in almost all the banks. Scholarships for (caste based) students are availed in our college for an amount of Rs.5000 (approx.) per semester.First graduate students will avail to get Rs.20,000 less on the amount that the other students pay.Other than this, toppers in semester examination are encouraged with the cash prizes every year at the college day function.

To state our college with the extra-curricular activities, our college has NSS, YRC, English club, Tamil mandram, etc for encouraging the students in various social acticities.Our college has well trained P.T staff for taking care of Sports club. Our college has a grand ground for practice. Various competitions like technical festivals are conducted to encourage the students and also help them to implement their practical knowledge. Workshops on emerging technologies, guests lectures are conducted often to enhance the students and also to keep them up to date.

We have got really a good set of alumni students and the seniors. The technical fest of each department would be conducted by the students themselves. The students of various year would mingle themselves to contribute to the success of the event their by showing their unity. We are free to contact our seniors regarding the study materials and the alumni students regarding the placement and the software (IT) environment. They are very kind and also help us in taking right decisions.

Exams will be conducted thrice per semester. These tests are known as the periodical tests and these will cover all the university questions. Internal marks would be calculated from these tests as per the Anna university rules. Lab sessions are twice per
