Our college is good but very much strick about the attendance and l got good academic study but less number of internships provides by them and I want some improvement in placement and job opportunities section.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think, one student can judge himself /herself much better than any other. They should think about what will be their next step in life because I believe that one student can be the decision-maker of his life. He/She should chase their dreams. But from my point of view being an engineer I will prefer the Civil Engineering because it is my passion. After 12th examination one can take admission in B. Tech by passing the Joint entrance exam
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are quite good in our college. For core departments like civil and mechanical this placement and job opportunities cenerio is very much different from the departments like Computer science and Electronics and communications. Placements has been ups and downs over the years with respect to the market. Yes, our college provide internships but less in numbers. I have no experience about this internships because I have not do any internships.
College Events
A few events celebrated in our college, like :- 1 Biswakarma Puja 2 Saraswati Puja 3 Orientation program 4 Alumni meet program 5 Tech fest 6 Cultural fest etc. Students are directly involved in all of this program and faculties give them the ultimate support.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite expensive as it is a private engineering college. It's around 4 lacks in 4 years of B. Tech course for a regular candidate and the semester (8 semester) fees are around Rs. 45000/- at an average.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college offers Tution fee courses for those who are meritorious but financially poor. Our college gives extra Rs. 20000/- off on taking direct admission to our college after passing the Joint entrance examination.
Campus Life
Our college is a good field to express any body's hidden talent. Our college is very much aware of the student's extracarricular activities. Our college is best for the lab facilities. A good number of lab experiment instruments present in our college and the sports is also very famous in our college like football, cricket, badminton etc.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted a hostel and it's rent Rs. 1400/- per month. It is a single room containing one bed, 24 hours light and water facilities. The food charge is counted separately. We take food 4 times a day and it's charge is around Rs. 3000 per month.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni meet is a platform where senior-junior interaction occurs and it's actually making a bond between them and in this regard a junior student got some advantages in many fields like proper guidance, job opportunities after completing the course curriculum and the most valuable thing is their experience.
Admission
After passing my 12th examination I arrived in WBJEE and passed that examination with a rank. Then I took admission in Hooghly Engineering and Technology College through counseling process and Now I am pursuing B. Tech in Civil Engineering.
Faculty
Our faculty members are very good and very helpful and they teach us with very much care. They always try to solve problems as much as possible. They try to keep good relationship with students and Non-teaching stuffs are also very helpful.
