Quick glance of DSCE,Bangalore

Dayananda Sagar college is an overall an above average to average college which has a scope of improving say with placements,events, etc. In the vast group of private colleges it stands around the colleges which are not much heard but are really good colleges. If you decide for dsce you should get some extra skills to have a great life in dsce

There are 10-12 branches that are taught in this college which i am talking only for engineering and there are other streams also such as pharmacy, dental science, B-com, BBA,MTECH,MBA. The exam structure is like that there will be 3 internal exams in one semester which carries of 50% weightage and which will be conducted each month and at last there will be external exams which carries of 50% weightage.

The placements are average and just below the expectations for some branches. The average package is 5lpa and the highest package provided is 15lpa as per the norms. College provides an internship in the third year but according to your academic results in the college.

There are two main fests for the college that is inter college fest namingly vibrations and the other one is intra college fest which is called furor which is quite big and famous in the whole Bangalore city

I would rather say that it is on the feasible side as it costs around 4 lpa for the students who joined from comedk and 1.5-2.0 lpa for the students who joined from the kcet entrance exam. Comedk students have to pay a load of money which is much expected from a private college.

I am not exactly aware of scholarships provided by this college but yes I know about some loans which include student loan which helps students to study by taking the loan provided by the college and is way too convenient for those students who can't afford to pay such a big amount at one flow.

There are two cycles for 1st year:- Physics cycle and chemistry cycle There are two labs for the physics cycle that is physics lab and mechanical workshop lab and for the chemistry cycle, there are 3 labs that are chemistry lab, computer programming lab, and AutoCAD lab. For sports, there are basketball court one football/cricket ground, volleyball ground, lawn tennis ground, squash, table tennis, gymnasium, etc.

There are two hostel premises in the campus namingly Indian boys hostel that is Sardar Patel house and the other is the NRI hostel for boys and for girls also there are 2 hostels. The Indian hostels are average with not so good infrastructure facilities but the NRI hostel is way too good and totally deserves a 10/10 bang as its really good.

The alumni for this college is not that strong and is quite not helpful for students as it should be but the college conducts some alumni meets for the students to make students interact with the students.

There will be an exam conducted during the exam period i.e may-june namely Comedk. It is conducted mostly in all the states. There will be 180 questions 60/subject (PCM) where there will be no negative marking. Then after a week your marks will be displayed on the site and you have to wait for a month to get to know your rank. And according to your rank you will be provided the desired college.

The faculty of the college is the most important point and which really matters. For this college, the faculty for the subjects ranges on 7/10 as for some subjects the faculty is really good and for some subjects, it sucks a lot. But in the end, students only have to study on their own no matter what the faculty is.
