Remarks
Well i must say that among the 90 colleges of the Delhi University we have the best infrastructure. Other colleges are even older than me or i can say they were built before the independence itself. But still there are some issues like strictness for academics and other things. And most important though there se much high speed internet is available proper routers are fitted but still it is not accessible by us till now.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is based up on CBCS, ie. Choice Based Credits System. Here every paper has it's own credits and as per their values which a student secure , the final SGPA is calculated for each semester and further the combined results with CPGA is released every year.
Placement Experience
Though placement cell is there in my college and to be very honest. In DU Colleges we have general degree courses with somewhere lack the opportunity to jobs. As the Companies usually prefer Professional Graduates for jobs like B-TECH or MBBS. So here jobs are available for commerce students doing B-Com or BBA etc. But it is a disadvantage for science students to get jobs easily after doing a general degree course from Delhi University.
College Events
A lot of events are celebrated in my college. Many clubs and societies are there which take care all the co-curricular activities and other talents which the students posses. Many other like Robotics Club, dance, theatre,music etc societies are there which together even organise the annual fest called KALRAV.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Though the fee structure is annually based payment. If i compare the fee with other colleges of various universities, it is almost negligible or better to say a very little to pay. But still it costs. And if i compare the fee of my course ie. Computer Science Honours it is the most expensive course in the whole University. It costs me around 40,000/year ie. 1.2 lakh for 3 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided by the college for the economically weaker students and socially backward classes like SC,ST,OBCs. Apart from this students who are rank achieves in the college or the University as well. Recieve scholarships.
Campus Life
Seperate societies are there which takes care of all these activities. And they get the findings from the college and by the student unions and students collection as well. By this they usually do the best they can provide.
Hostel Facilities
I have not opted for the hostel. But it is well furnished and properly maintained hostel. The complete building is air conditioned and even proper elevators are there for ease in going up and down. Apart from this it has it's separate mess where those students get 4-5 times meals a day. In short it is providing good facilities as i must say it is taking 1.3 lakhs/ year for hostel charges which is quite expensive i guess
Alumni/Alumna
Yeah, seniors are usually helpful they tell us about the college, its functioning and how the other things like examinations, elections,other things which a student should know. Apart from this proper induction programme is organised to get to know each other.
Admission
Actually My College falls under University of Delhi so every year cut off lists are released by the University and the admissions are done on the basis of that only. The students who meet the requirements can get the admissions in these DU Colleges
Faculty
Faculty of my college is first class. Because my college stands at 13th Rank as per the ranking done by NIRF. So all the faculty members are well educated,trained and qualified in there specific grounds.
