Just the open campus, which allows other locals to move inside the college. It creates a lot of problems to the students residing in the college. This is due to the fact that IIT BHU was once a part of BHU, and it detached from it since 2012. But, it still holds important landmarks like Vishwanath temple due to which it is made open for public.

The courses offered are quite well. The semester is divided in two exams. First the mid sems and then the end sems which generally carries 30 an 50 percentage of marks.The remaining 20 percentage is of assignment, vivas etc.

The placements of our college is one of the finest in the nation. Being an IIT, most tier 1 companies come directly on campus to employ brilliant students. Companies offer placements of more than a core to some students, but most students are able to get around 12 to 15 lakhs per annum easily. Our college also provide internships to meritious students in 2nd and 3rd year of college in various companies. Many students are selected for GSOC, the best internship for students. Various internships have various stipends ranging from 20000 to 200000 INR.

There are majorly three events in our college. First one is Kashiyatra which is the cultural festival of our college. Various clubs like Dance, music, Arts, Quiz etc have many competitions for students. The second one is Spardha, the sports fest of our college. And the most important is the Technex, the techno management fest of our college.

It's slightly between the two. Since it is a government college, it should be less but it is very costly, around 106000 INR per semester. Many people have concessions or scholarships like People belonging to SC and ST don't have to pay the academic fee and people with poor economic conditions are also given financial aid.

There are many facilities available for economical poor students. One can take a loan from the college itself and can pay later without any addition of taxes over it. There are various scholarships for extra meritious students like the college opener fees is removed. And also there are various socities of the branches itself which provide scholarships to the branch toppers.

We have great extracurricular life in our college. We have almost 30 clubs of different fields where we can find like minded people. All these clubs participate in various competitions in the college and in outstations also. One can earn many laurels and prizes by doing good in any club.

The hostels are OK here. They provide basic amenities, but the hostels are in great need of upgradation. Most of them are quite old but still the hostel mess food is fine compared to other colleges.

The college is a century old. So it is obvious that it's alumni network is one of the strongest in the nation. Many alumnus donate a lot of funds in the form of scholarships, or investing in fests organized in the college etc. The main reason of better placements of this college is due to the network of alums in various positions across the globe.

First we need to get the cut off of JEE mains to appear for JEE Advanced. Then after getting sufficient Rank in Advanced, We have to do the physical verification in an IIT. Then we can join the allotted college after paying the required fee.

Very well and highly experienced.Most of them have experience more than 20 years and are brilliant professors. They are constantly invited to other colleges to give guest lectures etc. Most of them are quite passionate about teaching and are highly recommend.
