VIT Chennai Review

The college is up to mark in every aspect so their are no remarks from the college in the negative aspects. Every thing in college is fully secured. Their are CCTV'S all over ther campus their is no need to worry about the security in the campus

Course curriculum is well updated with current trends when compared with other colleges. Most of the subjects at VIT have projects which we call as Project based learning (PBL) which was newly implemented from the year 2015 under the name of CAL(Curriculum of Applied Learning). While some have both lab and project or some without lab and project. VIT updates its curriculum every 2 years and also every semester if needed we need to talk to HOD'S regarding this.

The placements are the thing that makes VIT stand outstanding from other colleges. Most of our seniors are placed in the top MNC's. Placements percent at VIT is above 90%.I will be sitting for internships in the may month so currently i dont have any Internships.

The Two fests celebrated are TECHNOVIT which is for Technical Events like Hackathons, Workshops, Paper presentation, Research Discussions. Other one is VIBRANCE which is full of Non Technical and Fun unlimited. There will be 3 days which has proshows, standup comedies by top celebrities.There are vast number of clubs in our college which include in various activities all over the semester. Some of the notable clubs are ENACTUS,Rennaisance, NSS etc.

I have got admitted in the first category so my fees is around 96000 per year which includes two semesters. The Infrasture provided by VIT is Rich so compared to other colleges VIT offers a moderate fees structure. It also provides scholarships to the students based on their merit.

Our college offers the students to pay the fee in installments by consedering the request from the poor students. The college provides 75% consession for the students between the rank of 1-50 and 50 % consession for 50-100. and 25% consession for the 9 pointers.

There are good number of labs , which include vast number of computers Some provide facility to google cloud platform for the free of cost to the students. The teaching staff at lab are also so humbe and good in teaching the subject knowledge to the students.

Currently their are 3 hostels for boys at VIT chennai. C block is good which is newly build so i would prefer C Block than others. I would rate other blocks as average. The food is better at A block which is catered by CRCL Mess. The time to enter into hostel is 9 PM

There are good number of alumni FROM VIT since it was established in the 1984. Our Chancellor sir frequently participates in the meet up with the alumini at various foreign countries. Even the Sekar sir and selvam sir are active in meeting with Alumini and every year alumini meet is conducted during the month of november.

I have got based on my 12th standard Marks. I have applied for the M.Tech Integrated software engineering application. I got a conformation from the college the i was shortlisted with the rank of 512. They had called me for the counselling during the mid of may. There were around 800 selected candidtes they were given four different times based on the rank given by VIT. I have got in 2nd session. Luckily i got admitted in VIT.

Yeah, The faculty at VIT are one of the roots of VIT. They have vast knowledge over their domain. They provide hands on sessions for the indepth explanation of the concepts to students. They are availabe round the clock to students.They also provide special concern to slowlearners.
