NIT JALANDHAR'S review

The overall remark is that the college is good with good faculties. One of the great perks of the college is that there is no ragging in the college. Security system is quite good containing about 30-35 guards with 5-6 lady guards for girls.

Chemical Engineering is a vast opportunity providing course. It is also the courde with highest paid jobs. In NITJ we have three different types of exams, two minors each carrying 20 marks and one major of 50 marks and 10 marks are of external.

Placements and job opportunities depend on the branch. Move then 50 companies arrive every year in the college including Microsoft, Adobe and Reliance. College has recently started 6 month industrial training course for 3rd year student. Yes the college provide internships with some companies also providing stipend.

There are the major events: 1. Bharat dhwani: It's the inauguration ceremony of the college. It's celebrated every year on 10th of October. 2. Techniti: It's the biggest technical festt of North India celebrated every year in the month of November. 3. Utkansh: It's the cultural fest of the college celebrated in the month of March.

As the college is government funded so the fee structure vary for students. The college is not expensive and is feasible for every type of student. It's 75,000 for students with family income > 5 lac, 35,000 for students with family income between 1 and 5 lac and 10,000 for < 1 lac.

Most of the scholarships programme are for lower society students. College also provide study loans to the students. There are scholarships for differently abled persons also. Siemen india scholarship is one of the scholarships for 1st year provided by the college.

College infrastructure includes gymanasium is the facility for indoor sports such as badminton,table tennis etc. A main ground for sports like cricket. Football court, basketball court, lawn tennis and volleyball court are also provided. Different types of labs according to the department are provided.

Seniors are really very helpful. They help us in solving all of our problems which can be technical and mental. They keep us motivated. They also help us during the time of our internships and placement.

ADMISSION. In order to get into NIT, one must take the JEE (MAIN) exam and secure at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in Class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12th exam conducted by the respective board. Admissions are on the basis of rank in JEE (Main).

The faculty of college is good with some of them with great experience of above 20 years. They are supporting in many ways like during internships the HOD provide recommendations and the senior faculty are helpful with the projects.
