Remarks

It was perfect for me , as for my course everything is good. Faculty , environment, commute everything is in ease. Library is open even on holiday so anyone can get benifited from a large collection of books. Canteen is also not expensive , everything is good here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum of du is best , its intension is to overall development of students. I had opted for b.com hons in which i also learned how to file income tax return , gst return, tally, html, ms office and many more , its all was the part of syllabus.

Placement Experience

4

Placement opportunity is also good many companies comes for placement for various courses. All big 4 companies like delliote , kpmg , pwc, EY and wipro, and many more companies comes for placement and mostly students get placed with good package.

College Events

5

As a renowned college and renowned University (University of delhi) every type of events that take place in college , were celebrated there some other events were TED talk which clearly states the level of events in a college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a govt college fee is pretty low its around 7000-8000 per year. And by seeing the facilities and education its pretty low , for the background caste fee is less than normal fee and scholarships are also available. So its quite feasible and cheap and more than value for money.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships like vice Chancellor students fund which is given to below the poverty line students. There is another scholarships or grant available for students who came from jammu and kashmir. Beside this many other scholarships are also there.

Campus Life

5

College is good in that also, it has a big playground and for football , tennis, basketball , indoor sports room for indoor games like table tennis , chess, carrom etc. Sbsc has various cultural award-winning society like NATUE- theater society , PROMETHEAN- art society , NSS ,NCC, AUDIOFILE- music society and many more was there.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I haven't opted for hostel as my college doesn't have hostel. in Delhi University there are around 70-80 colleges and hostels are very less. And only 25% colleges have hostel. But we never faced any issue as there were many pg and private hostel around the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Sbsc has very helpful alumni some of the famous alumni are Shoojit Sircar, film director Sidharth Malhotra, actor Anupriya Goenka, actress Gautam Rode, actor Bhuvan Bam, Internet personality Sumit Vats, actor Harshvardhan Rane, actor. Beside them many other alumni are there who are very helpful to students.

Admission

Admission is on the basis of merit list yet there are others quotas are also present like sports quota ECA quota. But my admission was on 12th marks basis. I had got 87.25%. we had to fill a common admission form of du not college wise. And after the submission of application form , later on merit list comes , there are several merit lists as per the vacancy and course which compromise minimum marks for applying in various courses in various college. It is to be noted that course should be told at the time of submitting the application form. And college is to be choosen as per the merit list. I took admission firstly in dyal singh college in 4 th merit list later on i shifted to sbsc.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of shaheed Bhagat singh college is the best. Earlier i thought regular classes won't be conducted in college, as i had heard from many people that in college classes don't take place its up to us whether we want to study or not. But i was totally wrong. We had regular classes with compulsory attendance, teachers are soo good and helpful that they devote their personal time in solving your doubts. Many times due to our doubts our teachers had to conduct extra class in holidays. I just tell you , mark my words Faculty is superb.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
