There are spots facilities present. Also the alumni and teachers are helpful excluding some. Lab facilities are quite good and canteen is also good. But our college lacks the interest to make it a better one. Toilet facilities needs to be improved. Also teachers should be taught new technologies. There should be a all time generator in case of power cuts

Our college follows the syllabus of West Bengal University of Technology (Wbut). The previous batches of our college had a old syllabus including mine. But recently in 2018, there was a change of syllabus amd new subjects were included according to the industry.

Getting a good job completely depends on the student. If one wants a good job, then he/she has to get it on his own merit. I have got 2 job offers and all of them are from off campus drives. Many are yet to come. My package has been 4lpa till now. But the placement that happens in our college provide something around 10000-15000 per month which is below average in comparison to other colleges.

Cultural fest- The name of our cultural fest is Enthuzea. It is of 2days. It the time where prizes of academic performances and sports are given. Also students participate and bands are brought. Sports- The sports events happens during the month of February. Students as well as teachers participate in the sports. The games played are Football, Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, basketball, Carrom and Volleyball. Tech Fest- It happens during the month of April. Students show their projects and participate in various tech events. Teachers day- Students perform for the teachers on teachers day.

The fees is comparitively less in comparison to other engineering colleges in Kolkata. Most of the engineering colleges cost around 5-6Lakhs at an average. But the cost in Swami Vivekananda Institute Of Science And Technology is around 3.6 Lakhs.

Our college provied loans to many SC/ST people who have studied in West Bengal board. Sc/St Students who have got 60% or more can avail this opportunity. There are so many scholarship facilities for the Sc/St people that they can get upto 50000 a month. But no scholarship is available for general students.

Extra Curricular activities are available only during the college events like tech fest and sports. Lab equipments are old but they are available. Many premium colleges dont have the facilities which we have. We play football, cricket, basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, carrom, badminton , carrom.

No i havent opted for Hostel facilities. But my friends stay in hostel. They say that it is like other colleges. They provide food according to time. But the infrastructure is not good. There are not much facilities like television or Internet or microwave facilities. There are frequent power cuts.

The alumni is helpful. Some seniors are helpful but most of them are not. Though there is no ragging, some seniors tend to show their seniority and give commands. When we were in the 1st 2nd year, we had to go through all these. But now since we are the final year, we don't do all the things which our senior did.

After giving my Board exams in college, i gave my West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination exams and i secured 12098 rank. I sat for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination counseling which took place after a few days. In the counseling process, we had to choose the colleges we wished with the subjects according to our priority. After 3rd counseling, we got our college. Then we had to go to register in Jadavpur University with a registration fees of 20000. Then after e few days we were told about the date of joining. And our college started on 8th August 2016.

Some of the faculty of our college are well educated and posses great knowledge of the subject. But some of them are not that knowledgeable. Since they are teaching according to the syllabus only, they know only that. They cant solve problems outside the syllabus.
