Fantasised college came true

I feel nothing negative about my college. It is a dream come true moment for me as a college student at VIT. It is really a place to learn, a chance to grow as the tagline says. The diverse culture and an effective acadamics make us to prove whatever the best we are.

We have full freedom to choose our course, faculties and slots using Fully Flexible Credit system, FFCS. My course curriculum is well updated and also so resourceful. Final exam is FAT, final assessment test. Before FAT we have 2 CATs, continuous assessment test, which is considered as internal. For labs we have Internal Practice Sessions (IPS) followed by a Practical Assessment Test (PAT). I am very much comfortable with the exam structure here at VIT.

VIT is known for its record breaking placements. Here the maximum pay a student can get is 40 Lakhs per annum. All the top most tech giants come here to grab the creative minds by offering dream packages. Yes of course, internships are part our curriculum, college provide an ample number of internship offers from different tech companies. Since I haven't been in an internship I couldn't brief my experience.

Vibrance is a national cultural fest happens every year here at VIT Chennai. TechnoVIT is the technical fest that happens for three days every year. There are also so many events conducted every month. Some of the minor events are robotrix, drone race, AI competitions, hackathons, makathons, Model United Nations by School of law etc.

Fees structure is based on the ranks in the Entrance exam or 12th Marks. Based on the ranks fees are divided into categories 1 to 5. Ranging from 96k to 5lakh per year. Fees is entirely depended based on the rank we score.

We get scholarships or fees concession based on the VITEEE entrance exam. People under 20k rank are given fees concessions. Scholarships are also given based on the financial circumstances and marks of the student.

We have a wide variety of student clubs and chapters. Both technical and social chapters for upgrading our extra curricular skills and knowledge. Also we have good sports arenas and competitions conducted then and there.

Hostel infrastructure is so excellent and well maintained. I feel like a home away home here. Every rooms are cleaned daily and food is also good. We have 2 bed to 4 bed AC and Non - AC rooms available here. Girls have hostel in time at 7pm and boys have at 9pm.

VIT have world wide alumni networks and VIT Alumni association working actively with active chapters around the globe. It is said that you will meet a VIT alumni in 9 in 10 tech companies you join. And alumni achievements are also taken account and appreciated with awards.

I filled my admission form online and I was called for admission counselling, where I was ranked based on my 12th PCM mark and seats were filled according to the rank. I was given a choice to choose the branch and the campus. I chose and myself into VIT.

Faculties here at VIT are so resourceful. I like the teaching methodology they follow. We have virtual sessions, lab sessions, industrial visits, mini projects, additional learning and also co curricular learning. All these are well supported by our beloved faculties.
