My journey to become a doctor

My college Anugrah Narayan magadh medical college is a goverment college. It was founded by Dr. Vijay in 1970. Being old and goverment college, there lies a lot of responsibilities on its pillars. Although there are some drawbacks still present in it but faculties and principal are trying there best to overcome it and make our college one of great medical institute in India.

I think this is a noble profession. Exam structure is fantastic and I would say it's rather difficult. Theory, practical and viva. All are conducted beautifully with equal importance. Patient interaction is a must and we are given this great opportunity to learn and serve.

Placements and job opportunities are awesome. Good quality doctors are few in number in our country but we need them. There are many private hospitals who are hiring doctors who graduated from a MCI recognized goverment medical college. Internship is provided by my college.

Mainly 2 events are celebrated in my campus with much enthusiasm. First one is saraswati puja And 2nd one is CFD which stands for college foundation day. Actually it's not a day. It is celebrated for whole 7 days with sports event and cultural events.

Fee structure is quite feasible. Hostel fee has increased from 500 per month to 1000 rupees per month including electricity charges and other maintenance charges. Tuition fees is also reasonable. On average, 7000 per semester is fee structure. In our course, there are 9 semesters.

Scholarship is provided for poor students. Criteria is that the student who is claiming for scholarship must be current student of this college He should be either OBC or SC or ST His father's annual income should be less than 1 lakhs. Then he get 25 thousands per year scholarship.

There is computer lab with wifi facility available for students, teachers and staffs. Biochemical labs and microbiology labs are present in which we can study about the laboratory diagnosis of diseases. They are quite good.

I opted for Hostel. It is good It is near the hospital and it is near to the lecture theatre and library so many of us don't have to bother for transport to reach there. Infrastructure is good. For security, 2 guards are always on duty For cleanliness, toilet and area outside rooms are being cleaned regularly by goverment workers.

Alumni network is very strong in medical fraternity. We all are connected through social networks, mobile numbers and through hearts. They do come in all programs organized by students or teachers. Seniors are amazing. They help us through our difficult times in all aspects.

Bihar medical entrance exam 2015 (BCECE) This is a 2 stage objective exam in which first exam is screening and 2nd one is for allotment of college according to rank. After councelling, I opted Gaya medical college. There are 9 medical colleges in Bihar apart from AIIMS PATNA

They are great. All are doctors with great experience Many of them in fact graduated from this college itself and then did post graduation with a specific branch. I think they are qualified enough to make us good doctor.
