Review My college

The college starts at 9:20 and ends at 4'o clock. In between this time period you are not allowed to leave the college except emergency case. There is no thing called off period. In every lecture there carries 10 marks for class performance. 75% attendance is mandatory. But the admission process should upgrade in my opinion.

The college has vast course curriculum. Along with the subject related to your stream there is a paper for government exam like WBCS, UPSC, BANK JOBS. There is paper for life skills also. 2 terminal examination of 70 marks each paper. 1semester examination of 70 marks each paper and 30 marks from lab+attendance+class performance.

The placement percentage is very high. Last year almost 90% student of B.tech are placed in many MNCs and IT sector like TCS, WIPRO, CTS etc. The average package is 5.5-6 lpa. The college provide two internship in an academic year. I yet not applied for internship.

1. Orientation day - The first day of the freshers. Where they are introduced to college officially. 2. Freshers' welcome - A cultural programme to welcome the freshers. 3. Republic day, Indepence day - celebrated by hosting the flag. 4. Saraswati puja 5. Viswakarma puja 6. Intra football, cricket, basketball tournament. 7. URECKON the techno management festival, where not only our students but also various college students participate in various types of technological competition. 8. ECSTASIA the cultural festival.

It's feasible. For B.tech every semester it costs tuition fee 60,000inr, 1000inr for exam fee. 4year total 8 semesters are there For BCA every semester it costs tuition fee 50,000inr, 1000inr for exam fee. 3 year total 6 semester are there.

The first year students who have obtained 90% marks in their 10+2 are eligible for a scholarship where if you are in top 10 in the end semester exam. They got certificate and cash prizes. In NPTEL exams if one scores above 90% he/she gets full refund of the exam form from the college.

Talking about extracurricular activities there is there tournaments are held in every academic year. They Intra Football Tournament, Intra Cricket Tournament and Intra Basketball tournament. Every year Annual sports meet is also held in SAI complex. Apart from these some time some charitable marathons are also organised. The labs are all equipped with modern technologies and modern equipment and has the one of the largest computer lab in Kolkata.

The seniors are so helpful and most importantly the college is fully anti ragging. There is zero sign of ragging. And seniors always welcome you for any kind of advice you want. Alumni network is also so strong.

I went there and showed my 10+2 results which is more than 60% in best of all. Then based on my subjects in 10+2 and the marks they have offered me the stream for those I was eligable. Then I choose among those stream that were offered.

The faculty is very helpful and most of the faculty is of young age so they can teach us updated things. Also there are highly experienced HODs. Every faculty stays for one hour after college when any student can clear their doubts.
