My college

If you look from point of view, faculties here are more than excellent. Office staffs are very lazy and they don't bother if your work is done or not. Now educational structure has changed and semester has been introduced. Now the college is good for admissions as there are attendance criteria, semester exams. It's a good college in a feasible fees structure.

It's good. But as I said I belong to old syllabus, my syllabus wasn't updated e.g, GST was introduced in India in 2017, and still we were studying old tax structure in 2018. Syllabus is not very much updated. There used to be pre tests which were not important to pass. Only exam which was important was final exam.

There is no placement. There is no job opportunity. There is just course completion. Once you clear the exam, college doesn't care whether you get a job or not. There are no campus placement. Nothing helpful for interviews. Just study, clear your exam. That's it.

Fresher's Party- Yes, there will be fresher's party when you have already reached in second year or third semester. Don't expect any celebrity or any hall booking. Saraswati Puja- They celebrate Sarswati puja and after Saraswati puja there will be bhog. Puchka Competition- this is included in fresher's party where you will have to eat as much puchka as you can to win the competition.

Fees structure here is very much feasible. I studied here on yearly basis, not semester. So my fees was also on yearly basis. It ranged between 3000 to 3700 for each year. I don't anyone had a hard time affording it. And there is another illegal Union charge ?500 every year.

Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College does not offer any kind of Scholarship facility or loan facility. They just know how and from where to suck your money. My graduation was completed this year i.e. 2019 and still I haven't heard about any scholarship programme or loan facility.

There are no labs as in Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College, Science stream education is not provided. Students have to choose between Arts and Commerce to study. If we talk about sports, there aren't many. Yes there's a union room where one can find table tennis board but no ball or racquet, there's a carrom board. That's it. There are no other extracurricular activity.

No. Senior students were not helpful at all. Either they were busy in political union and very arrogant or they did not come in college. In old educational structure of Calcutta University, attendance was not mandatory so my seniors did not bother to come.

I'm from Calcutta University's Old syllabus so I had to apply online by filling up a form. Then my name came out in first list. There are three lists published at the interval of 10-15 days. Then normal documentation and paperwork, payment of fees and it's done.

Faculties here are more than excellent. They are very highly educated. They have a very friendly nature. They will make you understand things in a pretty easy way. Some are lawyers, some are accountants etc.
