Remarks

The college is good, it had improved a lot since I left, the campusing status has improved which is frankly the only thing we see when we join an engg. college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes, the course curriculum is in accordance with the WBJEE syllabus, my college experience was chill mostly since we didn't have compulsory attendance back then honestly, the Indian school system is way too hectic, followed by college and work life. I felt my college life gave me a lot of free time to explore a lot of my other talents.

Placement Experience

1.5

Yeah, I was among the few in our batch to have gotten 2 jobs, one was in Byju and the other was in tech Mahindra. The placement has improved a lot recently with a lot of students getting placed

College Events

3.5

Tech fest is the technical fest which has a lot of activities like building a bridge from ice cream sticks and hackathon, there were also debates and stuff, and the most awaited event would be our cultural fest which is almost always celebrated in aquamarine Hooghly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is minimal, it's 50000 for a semester on an average, we had 8 sems so it added up to 400000, with colleges like kiit and srm charging 12 and 14 lakhs respectively, I guess our fees were pretty reasonable, to say the least. There are a library access fee and a hostel fee for the ones who wanna use the hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed for any scholarships or loans but the process is usually the same as for any other educational loans.

Campus Life

2

Campus life was chill, up until the 3rd yr we had pretty relaxing rules which were changed when we exited the college..but yeah my school life was pretty hectic and I kinda regret not doing anything other than mugging up stuff for the 12 yrs of school. College gave me an opportunity to relax and focus on my other talents.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, they are pretty helpful. We have job counsellors coming in when we were in the 3rd yr and the senior students gave a lot of lectures on how to approach the job market.

Admission

I got in through the WBJEE counselling that is held after the WBJEE exams. I chose this college for the simple reason that it was near my home since I wanted to retake the jee mains the following year. The admission process consists of the WBJEE since it falls within our university.

Faculty

2.5

They were pretty good in their respective areas and they gave frequent notes and all of the other stuff that you get in engineering colleges, but I feel the college has introduced pretty strict rules recently regarding attendance and stuff and I feel that students should be given a bit of respite in their college lives which can help groom them into better humans.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
