A good college with much needed improvements awaiting

A new college just started in 2014 but with a good rate of development. Overall a good college in the developing phase which needs a lot of changes to be implemented to make it one of the top institutes in the country.

Course curriculum is good.It incorporates quite a labs along with theory and emphasis is given to practical based learning strategy. Exam structure incorporates two Mid-semester exams of 20 marks each and One Final Semester exam of 40 marks of each subject.Rest 20 marks are of internals and decided by each teacher how to deal with which may include surprise test, assignments,class test,attendance and various other factors.

Placements are average overall.A few companies visit the campus for CSE and IT but for ECE the number of companies visiting are just 1-2 so they have a lot of problem in placements. No my college does not provide internship opportunities.

We celebrate an annual Technical cum Cultural festival Meraki every year. We have an annual convocation in which graduates are awarded their degrees. We also celebrate other cultural festivals like Saraswati Pooja and Diwali Pooja. A number of talks by guests on various topics are also organized time to time.

Fee structure is not too expensive. The total cost is around 8 lakhs for 4 years (accommodation and mess excluded). Fee is collected each semester by SBI Icollect. Hence overall fee structure is quite feasible.

Our college does not provide any scholarship. The students can avail the loan facility for their study from SBI which offers education loan to each student with a minimal interest rate. Students can also take education loan from other Banks.

Extracurricular activities are taken care of int he institute.We take part in the Inter IIIT sports meet every year and also take part in the Technical and Cultural festivals of other primier institutes of the country. Labs are good and well equipped. We have a lot of facilities for indoor as well as outdoor sports.

Hostel infrastructure is good. We are provided with Wi-Fi in our hostel. Each block has a separate Washing Machine for washing clothes. We have a common room well equipped with a TV and a TT table along with other sports equipment like badminton carrom and chess. A number of workers keep the hostel premises and washrooms clean and hygienic.

Seniors are helpful although they are small in number as the college is new. Alumni network is though small but supporting. Seniors are always ready to help in academic as well as non academic matters and are always very friendly.

I got admission in this college on the basis of JEE Mains rank.I got admission in CSAB special round.I had to report to the institute with all my documents and the seat acceptance letter from CSAB along with the receipt of payment made at CSAB website and the receipt of leftover payment made through SBI icollect. My documents were verified which included 10 the marksheet ,12th marksheet ,adhaar card details ,income certificate , caste certificate as applicable,Migration certificate,Transfer certificate and Certificate of good Code and conduct given by the school along with the details of my JEE Mains rank.

Faculty is less qualified and is not graduate from very good institutions. Faculty are relatively very new and inexperienced and most of them have just started their career in teaching by joining here. They have some amount of knowledge but are not able to communicate it to students.
