Course Curriculum Overview
I was quite interested in the field of electronics from before. The curriculum is well planned with each subject divided judiciously in differnet semesters. Although a bit of change must be done regularly to be at par with this rapdily changing technology
Placement Experience
Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild
Fees and Financial Aid
Rough estimate for a general candidate is 1.8 lakhs although Gen-EWS an SC St have to pay 2/3 of the fees and the ones with income less than 1LPA and OBCs only have to pay 1/3 of the actual fees There is no such provision for hostel fees. for everyone it is the same roughly around 40000
Campus Life
There are two major fest for college's side namely Hillfair (Cultural Fest in odd sem) and Nimbus (tech fest in even sem). other than that there are societies that conduct their fests. There is a large variety of books in the library related to all the fields. All the classes ae equipped with smartboards. There are alot of clubs and societies - Societies function whole year and clubs in their respective semesters
Hostel Facilities
We get a basic room with 3-4 people sharing with basic facilites, there are no AC rooms and have common washrooms. Meal quality is good and it serves cuisines from pan india. Registration process is very simple and students are guided at every step of what needs to be done
Admission
The main admission process for the college is JoSAA and CSAB counselling. and I was alloted NIT Raipur and NIT Patna.The reason for choosing this college is that I was getting my desired branch and I was comaritively close to my home
Faculty
Faculties are quite approachable, you can just directly go to the faculty's cabin and talk to them. There are 4 exams in a year, 2 per semester (mid sem and end Sem), there is no such marking scheme and it completely depends on faculty. Exams are sometimes a bit tricky.
Night Life
There is a gym in student activity center, and the library timinings after 1st year iis upto 11:30 pm and teh caffeterias are closed by 9:30 pm. for first year the hostel intimings are 6:30 pm in 1st sem and 8:30 in 2nd sem Major places are Student Activity Center, Student's park, Verka and locally safe locations include Gandhi chowk and hamirpur market
