Remarks
No i dont have any negative views about college ,but i proud to be a part of dr bhim rao ambedkar college. In the context of hygiene our college is not so good as our college"s toilet are not so clean and it creates difficulties specially fot girls.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing bcom hons. According to my its best course for commerce students so i go for it. There are 6 semesters in bcom hons. 1st ,3rd, 5th semester are take place in november -december and 2nd ,4th,6th semester are take place in april- may.
Placement Experience
As i discussed with some seniors they said that thoughbour college has placement cells but do not provide good placements. It only provides jobs to only some students. Yes our college provide internships.
College Events
Different types of workshop were organised every week in the college auditorium. Like talk on economics slowdown by vyavasaaye, mathematics workshop, diwalimela by nss in which all nss members has put different stalls in the college like games , poetry competition, food stalls etc. I won 3 out of 5 games.college has also organised department wise fresher party plus official freshers party.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible. i.e 11915 per year. Whichbus very less i remember that i had paid myvtutuin fees for maths 14000 per year.if i total my fees it was 70000 per year in 12th class. Our college fee is half of the colleges of north campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college privide different tyoes of scholarship. One of them i was about to availed of fee concession scholarship but unfortunately i got to know about that after its last date. Many of my availed that scholarship.
Campus Life
Dr. Bhim rao ambedkar college provide different types of activities other than study it has dance society, swaragini the music soceity , vyavsaaye the commerce society ,and many more. Many sports like cricket ,football, baseball ,basketball, valleyball,etc are also played by our college.
Hostel Facilities
No. I don't , our college don't provide hostel services but studend from outside the delhi can live PG ,or flat on rent in near by areas like gokul puri, yamuna vihar ,nand nagri, shahdra etc. They can also divide the rent by increasing there room partners
Alumni/Alumna
Our Senior's behaviour is so polite. They are very helpful. There is not a little bit ragging in the college. Whatever the situation they are always stand with us to help us and guide us. They also share there experience which help us in our study.
Admission
Firstly i had taken the admission in satyawati college in 2nd cut off but it was 10 km far from my home though it was not so far still changed my college. Then i took admission in dr. Bhim rao ambedkar college which is just 900 m from my home. I didn't want to waste my time in travelling as done by many friends. Many friends advised me not to took admission in near by college and took admission in far colleges like ramanujan ,deshbandhu,satyawati ,zakir hussain ,etc. But decided to take admission in near by college and use time in doing part time job to earn some money. Then i took admission in Dr. Bhim rao ambedkar college in 3rd cut off but i forget to pay the fees in the given time. So my admission was not completed.then i again came at 4th cut off and took the admission in the college.
Faculty
According to my experience college faculty is not so good. It can be averege.some teachers have a negative attitude which are cery small in numbers. Rest are always ready to help us.utilisation of college fund is not optimum.
