Remarks
Overall I would rate the college positively. There are many plus points of this college. There are a hell lot of opportunities. The only thing is faculties should not be selected only on knowledge basis but how they can convey or share their knowledge, their teaching skillls. Rest all things are good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well designed. But has some loop holes like the education should be more practical rather than more theoritical. Here they give more attention on theory. Rather than this the curriculum is well designed.
Placement Experience
Currently i am in second year so i can't share any experience. But yes our college provide a good placement and job opportunities and here internship opportunities are quite good. One can work under any professor and get internship by recommendation also.
College Events
There are plenty of events technical as well as non technical. Take like the technical fest of our college ENGI or cultural fest like Incident. Both are of great fun and we can learn a lot. Other than these events are held every weekend by various exclusive clubs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. And there are many scholarships as well which a student can avail. Scholarships are based on merit list , category wise and much more. But it is somewhat expensive if we view it from point of view of poor people of our country.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are plenty of scholarships. Like i got scholarship. The merit list scholarship. In this if your jee mains rank is in top 5 opening rank for a particular branch then you are awarded 10000 rupees.
Campus Life
There are various labs in NITK. There is one new very big sports complex inaugurated this year. And we have two playing grounds as well. We have labs related to everyfield best one being CSD NITK and virtual labs.
Hostel Facilities
Yes i have opted for hostel. The hostels change every year. The infrastructure of hostels are good but not upto mark. They are old fashioned. They don't allow us to keep any external electrical gadgets as well like iron, induction and all.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes we can contact seniors or alumni if we know them. Generally its way to make contacts will alumni and seniors. Every year there is convocation at that time we can meet alumni as well. And seniors are very helpful in academic as well other than academics.
