Remarks

The college is really good and I like my stay here. The faculty is great and supportive in every mean. The seniors are awesome and Juniors are loving. I have fun in labs, doing experiments and stuff. I play with my friends in the volleyball court and try to improve my skills. In short, a peaceful study atmosphere.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is pretty well defined and laid for the best of what a student needs. The curriculum is divided into 8 semesters, each semester being around 6 months long. The syllabus for each semester is further divided into multiple modules which makes it easier to learn and remember. The examination system is pretty good too with internal, practical and semester (external) exams in each semester. But the checking of the exam papers is really poor. It is done carelessly and a lot of students suffer due to it.

Placement Experience

4

I'm still in second year so I don't have exact idea about the stuff but as much as I've heard from the seniors, there are plenty of placement and job opportunities every year and the deserving ones get placed in good places like HCL, BYJU, Paytm and other good companies. The computer science campus is especially good, or so I've heard.

College Events

4.5

The college celebrates many events. Some of them are: 1. Technical and cultural fest. Every year, a technical and cultural fest is organized in which almost the whole college gets together to enjoy. Many events and competitions are held which are a lot of fun and informative. 2. Fresher's party Every year, the freshers are welcomed by the seniors and a huge party is organized. Awesome! A lot other events are held too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really feasible. In fact, affordability was one of the reasons why I opted for this college. I don't want to start the exact fee structure but I would like to add that there's a facility for the economically struggling students to pursue their career. It is called the Tuition Fees Waiver Scheme. It reduces the tuition fees of 4 years drastically.

Fees and Financial Aid

There's a facility for the economically struggling students to pursue their career. It is called the Tuition Fees Waiver Scheme. It reduces the tuition fees of 4 years drastically. I myself have availed for this Scheme and I'm happy about and thankful about it.

Campus Life

3.5

They're awesome. The labs are clean and well equipped. Lab faculty are great and helpful. The college promotes sports and related activities too. Volleyball, basketball, cricket are some of the main sports available. I myself am a regular in College volleyball team.

Alumni/Alumna

They are really helpful. I'm in contact with the college alumni of previous year who help me with my projects and guide me through my career. The current 3rd years and 4th years are awesome too. Couldn't ask for more. Bonus: no ragging.

Admission

My rank and score in JEE mains examination were taken into consideration and I was called in for counseling and visitation. The process was a little time taking as a lot of documents were to be checked by the government officials before I was deemed eligible to pursue a career in the field of engineering and get admitted in a college. After the checking procedure was over, I finally got a date to go for the visitation. I liked the college very much so I opt for it. I'm happy that I got into this college.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty is really good and supportive. Each one is really good at teaching and actually know their stuff, a rare case in private engineering colleges. They cover the syllabus in time and help the students in reviewing too. Talk about lucky. Apart from the teaching faculty, the canteen faculty are really nice too. But the academic section staff is a nute case.

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students. The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
