Remarks
There is no negative remark about college except the transportation facility, but overall the best positive remark of our college is that the teacher-student relationship is very friendly ,and teachers are very helping in nature.
Course Curriculum Overview
As civil engineering is the one of oldest and purest of engineering branches it needs some best faculties for course.in our college there are twenty number of faculties and 8 number of lab assistants are present, our head of department is Dr prof Bikash Chandra panda sir who is a national level award winner in structural engineering. In our college there are two number of internal exam seminars and semester exam conducts in every six months.
Placement Experience
The placement in our college is good but not that much high, yes our college provide internship which is one of the best part of the college And also college provide students to those who are for backward classes.
College Events
In our college there are total 20 to 30 no of events are done every year.the biggest fest of our college is HORIZON which is the India's 3rd largest college fest.then there are teachers day, children's Day are also celebrated at igit.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible as it is a government institute,still there are some branch like computer science which have mor fee structure then core branches.and there is Msc,Mca courses are available with feasible fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are several scholarships provided by college are prerana and medhabruti and others are sponsored by MCL and other companies.and yes the loan facility provided by the college is efficient which make comfort for the students of lower income class.
Campus Life
Igit also famous for its remarkable performance in sports and extracurricular activities like fashion style , students are going different colleges for ramp walk, and students of igit goes IIT,ALCHERINGA NIIT,ROURKELA for participating in sports activities.labs of our college have sufficient instrument and proper cleaned.
Hostel Facilities
There are over all six hostels in our college two for girls and four for boys.the name of girls hostels are Rohini and prithvi and boys hostel are Surya Bhawan,Bhaskar ,brahmos and aryabhata. The facilities provided by the hostel are best in class.the rooms are well structured and have sufficient space for a study environment.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the senior are so helpful that they came after completion of college for helping us on different activities, such as some major projects and for some workshops and so on.They also provides funds for different fest's to organising students.
Admission
First of all I applied for ojee, then after qualifying the ojee entrance , I got the rank of 1980 in general category and 375 in branch catagory which is civil engineering. After verifying the documents at the nodal centre with a fee of 10500,then the verification process was done then after a week or two the allotments are published.There are basically four no of allotments first one is temporary allotment then 1 round allotment then second round allotment and final allotment.in the final round allotment I got selected in igit,sarang and took admission in civil engineering on 4th of August.
Faculty
Our college has the best faculties in every branch and especially in core branches. We have faculties whose qualifications are PhD from well recognised institute like IIT,DELHI IIT,KHARAGPUR etc also from some abroad institute like IMPERIAL COLLEGE OF LONDON,.
