This College is overall a good place to develop the personality and know people more.

Course Curriculum Overview

There were three industrial visits organized for the students until now. One was in MSME, one in National Insurance Sector and one in Yakult Factory. The exam curriculum is exams that happen on a semester basis which is conducted by GGSIPU all over the colleges.

Placement Experience

The placement cell that vips have is a completely established one. They interact with the corporate world regularly to bring out the best for students. The help in getting internships and even pre-recruitment for final year students. For each class, a placement head is appointed to take care of the placement need of each student.

College Events

The college has an initial fest called SPANDAN. Also, there are a lot of events happening around in the college in each course. The college also offers societies and sports teams in which whoever wishes to participate. This year even a B.Com fest took place called INITIO.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College is semi-government and it is quite feasible i guess according to the faculty and infrastructure. The fee is accepted by NEFT, RTGS Or Demand draft. There is no charge that has to be paid in addition to the fees. The college has given full transparency in the fee-breakdown

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I did not avail for any scholarship or education loan. I feel the fees is quite feasible for any middle-class household to afford it.

Campus Life

The campus life is great. Most of the students are Delhiites. The is a 9-7 library for the students and a 24-hour internet kiosk available. There is a moot court for law students and a hygienic and a well-maintained cafeteria. The college as 2 buildings allowed to every one according to the courses.

Alumni/Alumna

Every 6 months there is an alumnus meet conducted by the placement cell students along with the placement cell faculty. They try to bring out the best for us.

Admission

I opted for this course because it is related to accounting and commerce. This institution is everything I wanted in a college. Good infrastructure and good faculty. Big classrooms. Use of presentations. Not that strict. We have to clear the CET exam conducted by IPU and keeping in view the rank the colleges are allotted. it offers many courses in each stream such as BCom(hons), bba, ballb, bballb, bjmc, eco(Hons), eng(hons), BCA, MCA, and even MBA.

Faculty

Normal lectures take place about 4-5 a day. Most of them have done P.H.D or are about to complete it. Otherwise, all of the faculty are at least post graduate. The faculty even take remedial classes for weak students and are available all day for kids till 5 pm. They prefer teaching using a blackboard instead of a PowerPoint presentation

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I applied in VIPS through IPU Entrance and I also applied through CLAT and even CLAT scores are acceptable in VIPS. GGSIPU all the colleges I checked out and without a debate Vivekanand School of Legal Studies wins it hands down. Admission through CLAT scores and even IPU entrance scores are accepted.
