Remarks

None, my college is great. It even takes care of students who might be mentally troubled. There are counselors who hear out students and give them sound advice to curb burnout due to depression. As it is a Ragging free campus, everyone lives in peace and harmony.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

We have 6 subjects per semester and 8 semesters in total. There is always a balance of heavy and easy subjects so that there is no added burden on a student. There are excellent teaching faculties who are friendly and knowledgeable and ready to help. Also all the past papers are available in our fully stocked library for further reference. Many of the teachers even have pages on Weebly to let the students interact more and clear their doubts.

Placement Experience

5

Companies like Google, Goldmann Sachs, Microsoft, Zomato etc flock our college every August till the March of next year to hire Third and Fourth year students for internships and placements respectively. They offer huge stipends for the same. The hiring process begins from the online exams which are mainly Coding or aptitude based, The are then followed by group discussions, personal interviews, technical discussions and finally the HR round.

College Events

5

We have dedicated Cultural fest- Engifest,Literary Fest - Yuvaan, Sports fest- Aahvan and Techfest every year. Apart from that, events like Republic Day, Independence Day, Holi, Diwali, etc. are also celebrated. There are Diwali Mela's and Runathon on Diwali and Holi respectively. There is also a Fresher's week for welcoming the First Year's. I performed at my Fresher's week on behalf of my society ( Madhurima- The music society of DTU) having won a competition. There are events celebrated for supporting social causes as well like donation drives and plantation drives.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is about from 1.5 lacs per year which is justified considering the various amenities that the college provides us with. There are provisions for scholarships for students who cannot afford the amount. Also for students who are from Kashmir, there is a complete fee waiver.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee waiver for students who have a yearly family income of less than 5 lakhs and for Kashmiri migrants is a good Scholarship that our college offers. Also the department topper of each branch gets 10,000 rupees every semester.

Campus Life

5

There is a beautiful sports center fully equipped with a Running track, Basketball court, Football ground, Cricket pitch, Tennis courts, Badminton courts etc. They are routinely maintained to provide the best facilities to the students. The labs too are state of the art and have the latest technology be it the Electronics lab, Machining Lab, Fluids Lab or the Computer Labs.

Hostel Facilities

5

I am a hosteler and the facilities are excellent. There is flat system for Girl's. We get rooms with Balconies and there is lush greenery all around. The hostel authorities are quick to respond in case of any emergency. There are Solar panels atop every hostel which allows us to have sustainable energy at all times. There is 24/7 internet facility as well. There is a Mess facility which provides nutritious food - Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner. During Exam seasons there is a Night mess facility too. Apart from these there are restaurants all around the campus which provide us tasty and discounted food all year round.

Alumni/Alumna

We have an extremely strong Network of Alumni who guide us every step of the way. I am connected to a lot of my Alumni and seniors on LinkedIn. There are seminars and meets where some of the seniors guide fellow college mates on various subject like advancements in Artificial Intelligence, etc.

Admission

Admission in my college was through JEE-Mains (Joint Entrance Examination). I took coaching for the same and was thrilled to be among the top 1% of the aspirants. I was lucky enough to get Software Engineering because of the reservation for students who were schooled in Delhi.

Faculty

5

Our college has excellent and knowledge able faculty who are supremely professional and friendly at the same time. There are 14 departments in the college and every one of them has able and wise teachers and assistant professors. The faculty takes under their wing- the P. Hd students who take few classes as substitutes. Everyone from the library staff to the lab staff is helpful and cooperative.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.
