Good education good jobs

Apart from other colleges UEM provides routines lab as well as theory classes. They are very strict about the attendance too. But the negative part is the timing of the college. It starts at 9am and ends at 4pm. And the students are not allowed to get in pr out of the college as they wish. I feel this should be removed.

For engineering as usual we have 4 years i.e. 8 semesters. The college also conducts two internal examinations before the semesters which helps the students to analyze their preparations. The exam answers are also checked precisely and they also give doubt clearing sessions.

As this college is very new they have only passed 2 BTech batches. And every student from these two batches have got atleast one job. College also gives 2months time for internships and in the college itself we to attend many seminars and events.

1. Technical fest named URECKON. colleges from all over Kolkata come and participate. Uem organizes more than 50 technical competitions and games with cash prizes. 2. Cultural fest named ESCTACIA. here all kinds of cultural events are performed. And students from different colleges come and participate. 3. We also have departmental events like BIOSPECTRUM , etc. 4. Uem also organises poster making events and research paper making events for the students. International events with IEEE are also done where selected deserving students get to present their research paper worldwide.

The semester fees for BTech per semester is 60,000. For BCA its 45,000 per semester. The other departments shall havely likely. I'm not sure. And the admission fees for Btech is 80000 which includes the 1st semester fees.

College provided Rs. 5000 per semester for the students who got above 85% Mark's in both 10th and 12th boards. And for students who have taken education loan from different banks can pay their fees for every semester through the banks itself.

The best thing is we have a 24/7 library and a digital library too. We also get extra times for sports and co curricular activities like yoga gym and other indoor games. The basement of the college is designed such with tennis table space for football cricket. Billiard board. The labs I feel need to improve. They really need to make the labs specially the software ones sir conditioned.

The seniors are extremely helpful. They help you in every field. Starting from study materials to projects. They also help us to groom ourselves that how to prepare for interviews. One of the seniors have also put a Xerox centre inside the college.

I got admission through the entrance exam of the college itself (IEMJEE). It's a online exam. The candidate needs to go the college and appear for the exam. The results are immediately out once the exam gets over. After selection , during the time of admission the candidate needs to show his board results of 10th and 12th standards. If the criteria matches he gets the admission.

Each and every faculty is highly dedicated. They all have masters qualifications. And many of then have done their Ph. D too. Few of our HOD s have their own research papers and self written books too.
