Remarks

The college facilities needs to be improved in all the sectors whether providing computers in the lab, proper food facilities in the college, proper electricity, proper sanitation facilities, even proper faculties for the proper subjects and giving better opportunities for the students. The one thing I like the most in the college is the situation of where it is placed in and some of the well experienced people who help us in the future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is actually a very good one which has got all the necessary things but there is a lack of the skilled teachers in the required area. The exam is conducted as 2 internal exam and a main semester exam both the theory and the practical. the marks of the internals are averaged and then given.

Placement Experience

1

There is no opportunities for my course in the college whatsoever. There has been no college placements in my course. For my course the interview and placements are done by private companies and also some projects from government. As per my knowledge there is no internship provided by the institution and there is no stipend whatsoever.

College Events

3.5

In the case of events activities the college is providing lot of them in which we can make the most of it. There is Is fresher's day, college day, inter department competition, fests which are organised by the respective departments which includes competition, talks and so on.There is nonextra curricular activities launched or conducted by our department. And there is grand sports day and also interdepartmental games day. and also inter college games day. and also other major events which include a lot of people.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One of the main things which is actually good in this college is the fee structure. The education is more affordable here than in other colleges because of the Merit cutoff marks which are not too strict here which makes it good. But other forms of fees are very costly like the exam fees and also other miscellaneous fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is one of the major drawbacks that i have seen in this particular college. Those who are needy for the facilities are lacking the opportunity and those who are not deserving wont get. As per my knowledge there is no sort of scholarship provided by the college or even the loan facilities but the merit students are getting some discount in the fees.

Campus Life

3

In the case of extra curricular activities the college is providing lot of them in which we can make the most of it. There is Is fresher's day, college day, inter department competition, fests which are organised by the respective departments which includes competition, talks and so on.There is nonextra curricular activities launched or conducted by our department. And there is grand sports day and also interdepartmental games day.

Hostel Facilities

2

If you have been expecting Better things and better facilities anf better food in the hostels then i ahould say that this place is not suitable for you guys. There are major problems in the toilet area as well as the food department because both don't have proper hygiene which is worst in the case lf boys and the fees of the sc and st though they have enough money amd given free which makes the other general students to cpverup their expenses by adding our fees

Alumni/Alumna

I have no knowledge of the alumini and the students reunion of any sort. I think the reuinon should be made at least once in a year so that this helps in keeping the integrity of the institution, the college should have a common group in the social platforms and the well settled people can put in job offers to the group so that it will be a helpful situation for the rest of the group.

Admission

Through my merit percentage and my marks card were submitted along with the application. the date of admission was informed and then we had to make payments through challan for admission to the bank in the university which is the SBI Bank. After that the dates for joining were informed.

Faculty

2.5

There are experienced staff in the college but only a few of them and they're very busy with the works so the Juniors are struggling in making up the classes. So there is a problem of completion of the syllabus in time due to some of the government holidays and also some other issues

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
