Entrance Preview
I had decided to give the following entrance examinations BITSAT, VITEEE and JEE. I scored good marks in JEE and then I filled the form for engineering cap rounds. It consists of three rounds and one counseling round in the end. I had filled around 50 colleges in the list and I got admission in RAIT in the first round itself. It was a good college so I took admission in it without any hesitation. I chose electronics engineering over any other field because I had interest in it.
Course Curriculum Overview
RAIT comes under Mumbai university so the course curriculum is as prescribed by Mumbai university. Curriculum is mostly ratta oriented and not doesn't give much of practical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
I am still in second year so I don't have much experience of internship but it's mostly in third or fourth year. I have heard from seniors that companies like TCS give internship.
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty good at RAIT. Average salary is 3.3 lakh and highest salary package is around 13 lakhs. Highest package was offered by Morgan Stanley to few computer engineering students. TCS and INFOSYS had selected 114 and 99 students in a single day which offerd a package around 3 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are offered to low category students like OBC, SC and ST. There are also merit scholarships provided by private organizations. Loan facilities are provided for very needy students. Fees can also be paid in installments.
Exam Structure
